EngillGil gave a small smile, he was pleased the boy wanted him to stay a while. He thought for a moment - he could spare the time, there was nothing urgent that needed attending to. He nodded. "I would like to bide a while and enjoy your company" he told him. "Show me some of your things, the things you do. It will help me to know you better." If the youth was going to be sharing his home he should learn more about him and how he spent his time.

Ezra blinked a bit. The only things he really did was video games and reading. "There's not much to show you...." He did have a few plushies he kept, bit he was way too embarrassed to show anyone them. Maybe he could make an exception for Gil? Looking nervous, Ezra got up and went to a shelf, opening a hidden cabinet. He blushed and took out the custom-made Chocobo plush. "I...like to collect plushes, too. I only have a couple, and not even Sophia knows! So....Don't tell anyone."

Gil noted Ezra's uncertainty before he went to a hidden cabinet and took out a cuddly toy to show him, it was a Chocobo, the large yellow flightless bird from FInal Fantasy which characters could ride, though of course the angel had no idea of that. He smiled. "Of course I shall not tell if you don't wish me too" he replied. "Though I do not understand why you keep them a secret. Once you are at my home you'll not have to keep them hidden away. At least now I have an idea of what you would like for gifts at times of celebration."

Ezra blushed softly. Gil accepted it? The teen felt...a bit more encouraged. "Thank you. I....I'm glad there's someone who won't make fun of me for it. Sophia wouldn't mean it, but....She'd tease me about it." He smiled softly and sat next to Gil, sitting a bit clkser than he intended. "I don't suppose you know what this animal is, huh?"

Ezra sat down close to Gil and that pleased the angel, he was glad the boy was trusting and relaxed enough with him to do so. The boy spoke of the cuddly toy and Gil smiled and shook his head. "It is some sort of imaginary bird" he replied with a shrug. He knew for certain no such creature existed nor ever had though it wasn't dissimilar to one of ratites. "It isn't unlike a moa or cassowary" he added.

Ezra laughed a little. "It's called a Chocobo. They're animals from a video game series I like. I've always loved Chocobos. They're so cute and look so cuddly." He set the plush next to him before thinking. "...I wish Chocobo existed. I'd love to have one."

Ezra watched as the youth hugged the toy then sat it down on the bed. He was not at all like other human boys of his age he'd encountered. Dispite his cynicism and once you breached the brisly exterior, the young male was innocent, endearing and...well, just plain adorable. How could any parent not delight in having such as offspring? He thought for a moment. He certainly had the ability though not the authority. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. And yet...for this one boy rules were worth breaking, he'd already done so after all so what harm could really be done?

Engill was using the toy as a guide so the scale was wrong, which was just as well; all havoc would have been wreaked if the creature had been the size of that in the game when players could ride on it. But with a wave of the hand and a few muttered words there suddenly appeared the most adorable small bright yellow ratite-like bird, hopping about and chirruping. It jumped onto Ezra's lap and nestled down. It was so tame and affectionate, Gil had made certain on that.

Ezra watched curiously as Gil seemed to busy himself with constructing something. Yeah. Constructing was the word. The teen was so fascinated by the other's seemingly limitless ability chart that he didn't notice what he was making until the small Chocobo jumped onto his lap. Looking down at it, he was in shock at first before he beamed. Thag was so cool! If only he himself had that power. He would bring Mieu and Noishe to life! Looking up at Gil, he smiled at him before frowning a bt. Wasn't it dangerous to keep doing these sort of things? He loved the tiny yellow bird, and he'd rather die than have it removed or whatever the word was, but he didn't want Gil to get in trouble. "You sure it's okay to keep doing this sort of thing? I mean....I don't want you getting hurt or being punished just because you're being nice to me and...making me happy, I guess is what I should say....Thank you, though. I do love it. I think I'll call it....Well, I'll call it Cloud. Since it's a Final Fantasy creature." Ezra tensed when Felix sniffed the resting Chocobo, afraid he'd try to eat the poor thing, but instead curled up with the strange bird. That was a first. Felix usually hated everything. But, he was glad he didn't have to worry about Cloud becoming minced meat.

Gil was pleased to see how delighted Ezra was with the yellow bird. He was also touched by his concern for the angel, it was a selfless though many would not have had. He smiled and shook his head. "I could be in serious trouble, that's true, but I calculated the risk to myself first" he replied, stroking the bird. "I reckon I can't get into much more trouble than I'm in already, there's little more they can do. I'm already no longer immortal and I can feel pain now, I've lost a few other powers too. I think the very most they can do is remove a few more powers, may as well make the most of them for now if they can be put to good purpose. I'm glad I have made you happy."

Ezra listened to Gil before petting Cloud. "Please, be careful...."

Gil smiled and nodded. "I'm being careful. I'll lay low on the magic for a while" he told him. "I like the name Cloud." He didn't get the relevence of the name of course but he did think that it was a good choice all the same. "I should be going. I'll see you at the weekend. Will your Sophia be driving you up with all your belongings? And Felix?" For someone who'd always liked his own company and avoided others like the plague he was actually really looking forward to having the young human move in.

Ezra smiled a bit. He was glad to hear it. "M-My...." His cheeks turned pink, though just a little. He always flushed when someone said "your Sophia". He wouldn'f lie that, yes, she was attractive and, being still so young, he did like her. Just a bit. Though he'd never let foster into something more intimate, that wording still got to him from time to time. "Yeah, I imagine she will. She'll...want to meet you, to at least determine whether or not it's okay to leave me with you. Is that...alright with you?" Ezra looked down and blinked before he lifted Cloud softly, petting the tiny Chocobo. "I wouldn't be able to explain this little guy to her. Can you take him with you? I'd rather avoid all her questions."

"Of course. I shall care for Cloud until you're able. I will look forward to seeing you and Sophia at the weekend then" he replied with a small smile and a nod. He took the yellow bird and held it gently wrapped in his shirt. He left as swiftly and quietly as he'd appeared. Back home in the forest house he'd created he settled the bird down in what would be Ezra's room. Having now seen his room in his parents home, he now made a few adjustments. He gave the room the same colour scheme and positioned the closet and door in the same place, he thought it would help him to settled in more quickly.

Engill spent the rest of the week in his usual routine and also adjusting to living in the new house, it was a new living-style for him and it took a few days. He made a few alterations based on his practical use experience after a couple of days, such as adding a utility room and wet room and also a small animal care area. He was quite busy so the weekend arrived swiftly it seemed. On Saturday morning he yawned, stretched, rolled out of bed and pottered down to get some breakfast and some water and to feed Cloud and let him out to run around for a while. Then he lay in a hammock he'd put up to just relax and lazily look out for Ezra.

Ezra was more than eager to get to Gil's cabin. He had spent all week slowly disappearing from the everyday things he did. School and his online connections mostly. He didn't have much else to distance himself from. By Saturday, he had all but left the city. After packing some clothes, figuring he'd probably get more later on as time passed, he gathered the other things he knew wouldn'r be a big deal. Including Felix, though Gil would likely expect him to bring the calico. Once giving his things one more look, he left the manor. It was about four in the morning, since he didn't want to deal with his parents, when he and Sophia left. They arrived at around five, but stayed in the car to rest. It was around nine when they woke up and began their trek to the cabin. At this point, he was now holding Felix rather than relying on a carrier. "Are you sure about this, Ezra?" "Yeah. I'm sure. It'll be better this way. Besides....He's the only person who I guess I can relate to on a...personal level." He'd be much more comfortable here with Gil than back in the manor with his parents. Comfortable and probably happy.

Gil knew when Ezra and Sophia arrived in the forest. He wondered if he should go to meet them or wait at the forest house? One thing he knew he should do at once is call Cloud and hide him as Ezra seemed to think that Sophia should not see the creature. He whistled and the bird waddled to him. He picked him up and put him in the wood-store with a box of dried meadow grass to nestle into. Should he quickly change his clothes so as to be more 'presentable' for Ezra's friend? No, she would have to accept him how he was. He'd never yet bowed to conformity, he wasn't about to begin now. Perhaps he should hide his wings though? How much did Ezra trust this Sophia woman? Had he confided in her just who and what his new friend was? Then he began to worry about the house. What if Ezra didn't like it after all? Why was he worrying though so much about what this human thought of him? It was completely out of character. He sighed and shook his head, raked a hand through his long light hair and listened to tell how close they were now. Close. Very close. He didn't hide his wings but he did tuck them in close.
