Daedalus listened as a slew of questions and answers drifted back and forth, Cillian again taking the helm. When one member of the gathering stepped up and asked a point question of him, however, he did lean forward to answer.
"The Cherubs Lunar do not believe in the Nine. It is one of the reasons Solar and Lunar grew apart. For us, a soul drives its own fate. No result is borne without effort, no chance can be directed without focus."
As for courting... Daedalus, for the first time during this debate, looked a little uncomfortable. He shot a swift glance towards Icarus and sank back against his chair a little. He would let his glittering companion explain about such matters to whatever detail he found sufficient. Daedalus had been feeling less sure on such matters in recent months, and didn't trust himself to speak on the subject coherently.
Yet, surprisingly, Icarus did not leap onto the subject quite as Daedalus expected. Instead, the conversation was--thankfully--diverted to the subject of food. "Yes, we are famished from our long journey and the urgency of this meeting. A proper meal would be much appreciated. As tantalizing as the treats in this Festival sound, Cillian is quite right that we ought to satiate our hungers first. I am curious to try your cuisine. Cherub Lunar fare is hearty but simple. Have you any styles of cooking that might fit such a need?" He looked towards the youth with his basket of treats, to the woman who worked at a restaurant. Then he stole a glance at Icarus. "Perhaps after dinner, we might take a walk through this festival? It should give a sense of the customs here, offer a wide spread of races. We can do so on our way back to the hotel." He turned to Cillian slightly. "Any proper tours should be left until we have the chance to rest. We can go in turns so that each of us can be in our rightful hours. Perhaps break up the subject of the tours between us, say education for me, society for you, and faith for Icarus?"
He looked back at the crowd, more in appraisal than speaking to any one of them in particular. "Then we should have sufficient information to bring to the Council and discus matters of individuals for this exchange and how long its duration ought to last. Once such issues are determined, we can open applications."

Well, it looked like things were starting to wrap up, at least for the time being. Chaesh moved to grab their bag, and slipped to the side of the room, intent on at least passing contact information to the three. They had, after all, offered an invitation to the three– one they were certain their father would have no qualms about, at least not once he had been filled in on the context of the day.
It was a simple matter to find their business card holder– even though they hadn't a shopfront yet, and were working on graduating, the time afforded between study allowed them to work on their passion! Plucking out three of them, they smoothly moved to gently place them on an edge of the table alongside a note.
Thank you for hosting this event! I look forward to the cultural exchange.
Ledie smiled at the lunar cherub and she offered Daedalus a plushie as a gift as well. "Here you can keep this one." She said sweetly. Then she turned to Icarus and said "I have a few more if you'd like to pick one!!"

Shisume leaned against Cillian and clung. She closed her eyes, ears down and quivering still but feeling better just from the comfort. His skin felt strange, but she didn't care. It was nice to be held and she hoped her brother wouldn't mind. After all, he was the one who'd walked off. She stuck her hand in her mouth again, worrying at it both in hunger and anxiety.
Hitotsu approached again, though he kept a polite distance still, looking at Cillian for signs that Shisume was being an inconvenience. He'd had to send off his son for a nap with someone who had been unable to enter the Q&A but had agreed to stay nearby, though both he and she had expected it would have been Shisume who would need extracting rather than Isamu. He caught they were talking about food and had to agree. It had been an intense situation, and everyone was quite likely to be famished after all of that.
"Shisume." He called softly. "Stop trying to eat your hand." Out it popped and she looked at him, his first indication that she was upset. Had she gotten overwhelmed? He frowned and moved a bit closer, preparing to take her from Cillian if needed.

[A Small Note: We will be ending the Q&A session later tonight as our representatives need to recuperate! Please ask all your remaining questions while you still can! I will not be able to post with Icarus again until tonight. ]

Jet Jaeger
At last Jet had finished writing. He closed his notebook and retracted his pen. There were no political questions asked after he left the stand, but he supposed they had hit all the important ones. Besides, any further concerns would be taken care of by the diplomats, where that kind of conversation belonged. Still it was nice to stay informed. An event like this deserved every chance to be taken advantage of.
As the conversation dwindled down primarily to the subject of food, Jet tuned out and contemplated the discussion on informal ambassadors. He could not say he was entirely interested, but with how shy the cherubs and sluagh were to outsiders, it could prove to be a once in a lifetime opportunity. He would have to keep an eye out for sign-ups.
Well you could say one thing about below is after their tempers cooled down they sort of just swooped down on the people in question and all the hospitable people came out of the woodwork. This wasn’t to say below was perfect like she had mentioned constantly but it was better. She was glad her restaurant idea had been okay but she was no stranger to travel either and while festival food was lovely, it did need a place. “Yes they definitely have vegetarian dishes. Since it’s so close to the academy they like catering to all the different races” Yue replied answering Cillian’s question and made a note that the Cherub were vegetarian. She wondered if it was more a race thing or a cultural thing but she didn’t want to bring up food more than she had to. It looked like Icarus was suffering enough.
Or that was her thought but curiosity won out moments later. "Are all Cherub Vegetarian or is it more decided by personal preference?" points= 5 +9 = 14 +4= 18

"Styx? Styx, where are you?"
Kyokotsu moved quickly into the hall crowded with question-askers, looking high and low. A friend had passed on, that they'd heard from an accquaintance's roomate, that a pale-skinned white-locked naiad had collapsed in one of the lecture halls. It was almost certainly her sister! Sure, this was probably a little inconvenient for whoever those three people on panel up front giving a Q&A session were, but there were more important things at stake here!
"Styx? Styx!" They stage-whispered, loud enough to be obvious but hopefully not too rude. They tried to keep their fins from spreading and collapsing or twitching too much in agitation.
As they kept moving through the crowd, asking others, "Have you seen a white-haired naiad?" and so on, Kyo couldn't help but realize, those aren't any kind of Nightmare or Daydream than I've seen before. Once she found her sister, perhaps she could get some answers of her own for who were these people, anyway?

Quoting just for fun here--when I noticed that we had two characters with the same name, I couldn't resist the chance to cause a little confusion
Styx was quite surprised when she head her name being called by an unfamiliar voice, turning to see someone she didn't recognize. Why would they be calling her name? Whoever it was, they seemed in a panic. Should she go over to see what was going on? After getting a bit closer to see what was going on, she overheard them mentioning they were looking for a naiad with white hair. Definitely not her, but she did remember seeing a naiad fainting that had white hair. Did that daydream also have the name Styx? It was very possible.
With that out of the way, she paid attention back to their visitors ", Since there is such a large variety of nightmares and daydreams, there is all sorts of foods to choose from. Vegetarian options can be found everywhere, which I find quite helpful for myself. However, it appears you Cillian do not request such a meal? What would you like then?" She was reminded of the question of if he ate rocks, chuckling to herself inside her head about it.

Styx turned as she heard someone call her name. At first it wasn't terribly concerning– she knew for a fact that there were multiple people at the academy at any given time to have that name. That voice, though... was that...?
Oh no.
That was Kyoko. Styx took the opportunity to slink away as soon as it was presented to her, dissolving into the trickle of people leaving and pretending as hard as she could that she hadn't noticed her sister calling out for her. If she could just kept heading this way, she could avoid this unwanted situation....

Eisetsu enjoyed listening to Daedalus he seemed so calm and smart. Eisetsu kinda wishes she had a parent more like him. She sighed she really liked the concept of not believing in the nine. After all Eisetsu did believe if she worked really hard she would become who she wanted to be. She didn't believe that the so-called gods would give her things like some solstice gift giver.
Odessa really wasn't sure if the 'thank you' meant that they wanted her to cook for them or not. A lot of people were already asking the questions she would ask, being that she really did want to cook for them, but it seemed like they might be looking to other conclusions than her. So she gently sat back down, listening to everyone else speak. The questions were certainly coming to a close and it seemed like everyone was getting ready to head out. She wanted to listen to the few more answers that were to be given. She was very interested in this new race and wanted to learn everything that she could. Even if she couldn't cook for them personally, maybe she could for another member of their race in the future.

As one of the gathering stepped forward with a veritable collection of stuffed dolls in their arms, Daedalus blinked at them. Was this some sort of warding magic? Or perhaps a prized collection? A vendor?
When they plucked a dark blue bird from the collection and slid it onto the table before him, Daedalus reached out a hand to it, hovering over its little face. "We are the same colour," he mused, glancing up at the other and wondering if that was the reason it had been chosen for him. Perhaps this was a below-worlder custom...it would be rude to refuse it. He nodded at them, making direct eye-contact to show he appreciated the gesture and at last picked up the toy. "Thank you."
It was densely plush, soft to the touch, nearly pillow-like. It was only afterwards he noticed the emblem on the owl's belly, a shattered heart. His breath caught in his throat, and he looked back to see if the gift-giver had intended such a portent....but they had already moved on to his companions, displaying the remaining toys and offering them their choice of them. He nudged Icarus a little, indicating the pale one with the pink and blue effervescence of hearts on its belly. That seemed a fitting match for his bubbly Cherub Solar counterpart.
Cillian looked back to Daedalus as he spoke and nodded. They would arrange tours later- hey had a very busy schedule lined up for the next few days and deviating from it was not going to be particularly easy... Tours, as interesting as they would be, would have to wait.
Since it seemed that Icarus was too famished to really answer, he figured he'd let Yue know. "Most Cherubs are vegetarian but they do eat meat on occasion... though substitutes are far more common." He shifted his weight a little as Shisume removed her hand from her mouth. Funny- little Sluagh couldn't really perform that feat...
"We will find a suitable place to eat near by, then." Spotting Shisume's... sibling? Parent? He wasn't sure- he shifted a little closer to hand her off back to him. "Thank you for your time, it has been very educational... We will have much to discuss. Perhaps we will come back at the end of our stay." He nodded, then looked to the two Cherubs still seated on the stage. "We should go, before Icarus faints." He really couldn't help but make a jab... it was just too easy.
-------Over the next few weeks...-------
Icarus, Cillian, and Daedalus met with all sorts of ambassadors from all over Below. The three had much to discuss, much to consider, and much to report back to their people. Of course, this was plastered all over the news as the talks of integration continued at what seemed like a painstakingly slow pace. Eventually, it was settled that a small amount of Sluagh and Cherubs would be permitted to do an exchange student program with Below, and a few students from Below would be allowed to study at Elysium.
Cillian was officially appointed as the Ambassador to Below. Naturally, he returned to Asphodel with the group of Sluagh students that were set to begin a trial run of the exchange program. He would oversee the continued talks concerning just how much integration would be going on with Sluagh and Below. Another member of the Inner Circle was handling the same matter for the rest of Above, since the Sluagh had up until the discovery of the Stones maintained only a relationship with the Cherubs.
Icarus and Daedalus also returned to Below to see off the first of the Cherub exchange students. Daedalus proceeded to push for appointment as an Ambassador, same as Cillian. Icarus of course pushed for the same, keen on furthering alliances with the more hospitable people of Below.
