See the thing is, I really think they are planning on bringing her back. But the thing is she can't come back and have things go right to being happy... that would be lame... before I found out about the comics, I read... well I actually do still read it because it's ongoing... anyways... this AMAZING series called The Chosen... which is Buffy Season 8-10... they're halfway through with 9 right now... anyways... there is a subplot in which Tara was revived... but the way she did it was very warped and very disturbing.
And... very long long long story but the short version is Tara was ressurected by a group of people (*read the major villains*) she had no idea and shown repeatedly what Willow had done after Tara's death and told that she was too powerful and would subcomb again and the only way to save her soul would be to kill her before it could happen again. So Tara spends all this time trying to determine for herself whether or not she really had to kill her... and lots of craziness and fighting and militant Buffyness and this huge culminating fight that ends with Tara nearly killing Willow. (They really wanted Willow out of the picture seeing as she got beaten to within an inch of her life a few months before) and anyways... it spirals into this sludge of Tara being unable to forgive herself for nearly killing Willow, and Willow being afraid of infecting Tara with her propensity for eviltude, and Kennedy getting really fed up with all this dancing around... so she finagles things so that she's alone with Tara on a car trip for 16 hours trying to play matchmaker in her own kinda ******** up way.
It's... quite amazing.
Plus hey, the fun thing...later on Oz and Tara get to meet at the Sunnydale High 5 year reunion... hehe.

Wow. That sounds really intense. Believable, too. There's definitely no way Tara could be resurrected without a bunch of messed up drama ensuing, especially after the whole Dark Willow ordeal. Honestly, I doubt she'd be all hugs and kisses after learning about that.
I'd love to read the series. I'll go check it out when I have the chance. However, I must be going right now. Ciao <3

tashasan BakaTulip tashasan BakaTulip tashasan As much as I liked Oz, I think Willow and Tara were definitely the better pairing. I found that their love for each other was very believable, and it was all just very adorable. Tara was a sweetheart. As for Oz and Willow, I thought they just made for a cute high school romance. Believe me, I really liked this couple, too. I felt very happy that shy, awkward Willow finally had someone <3 Once again! Smart person! You're shaping up to be one of the few people I've seen here who actually understands this show. Most of the time, I wonder if I'm even watching the same show as the other people on this guild! *box of cookies* Same to you, really! S'nice to know that some people are using the ol' noggin properly when trying to make a point. HOT DANG. You make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. And full of cookies. P: I mean at first I thought I was spoiled ('cause my girlfriend is a huge, very smart Buffy fan, 'tis kinda how we met), but no it's just this place has some issues I guess. Aw, that's really sweet! I want to find a nice Buffy fan to love and obsess with D: Anyways, you'll get this sort of thing everywhere. There are intelligent sides of a conversation, and there are the, well, not so intelligent sides. That's life for you. God forbid anyone should disagree with you two! Or have a different opinion. There aren't RIGHT and WRONG way to discuss a TV show you know. Only different opinions. rofl

Augh, I knew I came off super snobby. Not just came off. Was. Bleh. My apologies. Hope I didn't make an awful impression of myself.
I do respect the opinion of others. Guess I was just caught up with someone who agreed.

I would like to point something out that there is a difference between opinion and a lack of understanding. I can understand frmin an opinion after thinking things through and processing them but I rarely find that to be the case.

I hope you don't think I was getting at you it just annoys me when it feels like people aren't arguing against a point of view but the whole way you look at things/judge things. I don't think I'm making myself clear but can't think of a better way to put it at the mo.

I feel like I might have been kinda on the side of bitchy earlier in my rabid defense of W/T. Now I did like Willow and Oz. They were cute, and he clearly was good for her. But Oz made a stupid mistake. He slept with Veruca, and while yes he was a wolf at the time, I feel that in the Buffyverse a loss of self is not an excuse (something I will address later). Not only did he sleep with another girl, but afterwards he up and left, he wouldn't wait around to try to talk things through. While Willow did have an indescrecion (she kissed Xander) it was not nearly as severe as Oz's and she was there and willing to work through it. It was Oz who disengaged. Oz disengaged both when he was the victim and the instigator, which must be something about his personality. In the end, when he's in pain he isolates himself, which is something that conflicted with Willow's personality. Yes they cared but in the long run, Oz did run out, without really considering the impact or the desires of Willow, which most likely would be to try to work things out as she tried to do when she kissed Xander. Oz from the beginning to the end of the Woz relationship, didn't grow much. Willow did though.
Now onto Willow and Tara. It's clear that they weren't looking at trying to make a romantic relationship from the start. They made a mystical connection with each other from the very start and had a large common ground with which they could work together and bond. Something that Willow and Oz lacked, despite the fact that they were both very smart. So they really were attuned to each other which made their relationship that much more powerful. Also, I think the fact that they were heavily censored by the WB meant that the show people had to find other ways for Willow and Tara to interact beyond showing kissing and making out and sex, at least through seasons 4 and 5. They were mostly shown sitting, talking, watching tv, star gazing, playing with miss kitty, cuddling, performing spells. Very sweet romantic stuff, which generates more bonding than lust, which is what I find to be most endearing about them. Don't get me wrong, I was insanely happy when they got their smoochies on the UPN and were shown in bed together, but they were closer than any other couple I've seen on TV in any genre and it's a kind of relationship I would like to have myself. The show clearly set them up to be the most romantic, sweetest, and closest of Willow's relationships, clearly meant to be the best, just like Angel was the best for Buffy.
Plus you know what Joss Whedon said when Seth Green up and bailed on the cast saying he would come back for one more episode. Joss replied "Fine! Well that episode will be about how Willow loves Tara and NOT YOU!" Though Seth did agree to stick around for Restless.
Now what I was saying earlier about Oz, despite the fact that he was all wolfed out, he should have been able to maintain a certain sense of self that seems to be present throughout the Buffyverse. For example, when Angel lost his soul, he still retained his sense of self. As was pointed out Buffy was still all he thought about. When everyone lost their memory, Willow and Tara could still recognize their love for each other. Even when Oz was the wolf, he should have recognized that he loved Willow, not Veruca, which means he must have voluntarily given in to it. This is further exemplified when later on we find out Willow brings out the wolf in Oz. The Wolf is tied to his emotions, The Wolf wants what Oz wants and vice versa. So part of Oz must have cast Willow to the back of his mind.

Very good points, 'Tulip. Willow and Tara's love was extremely believable due to the way their relationship was presented in the series. You could see that they were both very good friends, due to their casual interactions and conversations, and that they were even better lovers. They just seemed more real, I suppose.

Temporary Pirate Geek ayruh GetFaith spirit_fox Definatly Willow and Tara. They were just too cute! But what about Oz???!!? He was Willow's "first"!!!!! And he was sooo cute!!!! And even after cheating on him with Xander he took her back coz he loved her!!!!!!! heart F xxxthat was so sweet how he took her back. When Oz met Willow it was love at first sight wasn't it? So sweet. If Oz came back after Tara died of course they wouldn't get back together so fast if at all. Maybe they'd stay just friends but Willow could still like guys right? Naw, scratch that...i think shes permenantly gay. "Who is that girl?!" Yeah, I'd say it was love at first sight. I loved Willow and Oz almost as much as I loved Willow and Tara. But, honestly, Xander and Willow were and will always be my favorite. Same! I thought Xander and Willowe were like, meant to be!
And then Oz came, and I eventually got to liking that pairing.
Then that one ended, too.
STOP PLAYING WITH MY EMOTIONS!!!

Seriously when Willow became a Lesbian everything changed...for me she was not a lesbian she was bi. Tara was a sweetheart, but she was like too quiet and soft, I must admit I cried when she died, but Oz was freaking OZ the one.

I love both Oz and Tara about the same amount. They both brought wonderful things to each relationship whilst with Willow. I must Admit Tara does win slightly based on the fact that Tara did not walk out on her relationship with Willow and never come back. Tara left for Willow's own good when her magic usage was getting a bit over the top and came back when Willow gave it up. Whereas Oz did not seem interested in even hearing Willow's feelings about his leaving.
Willow's and Oz's relationship was quite beautiful. I liked how Oz helped Willow to become a stronger person and I like how even someone as quiet and laid back as Oz could go crazy when Willow was in trouble (Smashing the means for destorying the box of Gadrock to say make the trade to get Willow back, which also stopped the bickering). I also liked that Oz loved Willow for everything that other lesser people would critize her for, like her shyness and help Willow to accept herself more.
Tara and Willow were completley on the same wave length in every way, they had a bond not only in love but in magic, and this is very special. I think Willow would go crazy if either of them died, maybe not quite as much with Oz because at this time she is not in love with him but I think Willow is just the kind of person to try and protect the people she loves.
