Ballad eyed Tala in a grumpy manner, irritated by the cub's calm demeanor, but said nothing. Sure he really had no reason to worry.. No reason but the heart of one of his daughters was now in this lion's paws... This lion who he would soon meet, though it was too late.. Tessa was in love... It sang through the very music of her being.. He was happy, but worried...
Casalure smiled at his sister as they reached the end of the path that lead up to the Den. He halted and gestured with a paw, indicating she and Halo proceed. "This is where I leave you, Rounce and I will be patrolling the lands..." He eyed Halo, an odd, secretive smile on his face. "Best of luck, Prince Halo.. I hope you are worthy of her heart..."
"Come on then." Tessa said softly and stepped onto the path, smiling as her father came into view. "Daddy, there's someone I want you to meet."

Halo gave a slight nod to Casalure as a thanks. Taking a deep breath, he followed Songstress onto the path, well enough behind her and sure as hell not touching her. He then stopped staring up at the awesome form that was Songstress' Father.
Hopefully he wouldn't die tonight.

Rounce came up by Casalure's side. He had given the den one last good search for Sky Dance, but it seemed she was not there. Oh he hoped that he would find her on their wanderings. It was beginning to get pretty dark. He bowed his head to Tessa and Halo and smiled to Cas. "Ready?"

Tala's tail swayed back and forth, and he watched the male enter, after the princess. On the outside, the male seemed strong...but Tala bet, on the inside, he was shakin like a leaf, scared to death of the form that was Ballad...

Casalure grinned at Rounce and nodded, glancing at his father. He bowed slightly to his father, smiling, and turned back to his friend. "Yes, let's go Rounce... See you later Tessa." He smiled at his sister and turned away, silently wishing Halo the best of luck.
Ballad stood to his full height, shaking out his black mane slightly. The rain was falling steadily enough to darken his pale blue coat, but not enough to bother him. His daughter was a pale, soft light next to the male she had brought to meet her father, and he smiled slightly at her. His little Songstress... "Tessa." He rumbled happily, nosing her cheek in greeting. "I see you have brought someone for us to meet..." He turned to the male. "I am Ballad, King of Temple's Decorations and Songstress's father and you?"
Whistle stood slowly and paced away from her sleeping children, moving up to her mate's side. She smiled kindly at the male -who really was quite fetching- and ducked her head in a faint nod of greeting. She stood at Ballad's shoulder, waiting for this young lion to speak to her mate, and then would begin her own greetings. "Songstress..." She murmured lovingly, smiling at her daughter. "It is so nice to see you well..."

Halo gave the king a deep bow, his left paw over his heart. "My name is Halo, The Blue Angel and Prince of Whispers in the Dark. It is a pleasure to meet the sire and dame of Songstress." He kept himself lowered, not rising until asked to. Hi heart began to beat a million miles a second, not sure if he would either die at Ballad' paws...or his own fast-paced heart.

Whistle nosed her daughter to the side and stepped up to stand even with her mate, nosing his cheek with a loving purr. She considered the bowed prince before them, and then nodded once as though she were satisfied with what she saw. "Greetings and welcome Blue Angel and Prince of Whispers in the Dark, I am Whistle, Queen of Temple's Decorations and Songstress's mother. It is a pleasure to meet the one our Daughter so cares for, and please, stand and talk amongst us."
Ballad nodded. "My Queen is right, Rise and Enter here... And we will speak more, Prince Halo." He stepped sideways and turned, waiting for the young prince to pace past him, smiling slightly as his queen repeated his move on the opposite side of the den.
Songstress was already within the den, speaking to her sister PyreDancer as the elder lioness stirred from her nap, she glanced up at her mate and smiled reassuringly at him, winking.

Halo rose, and was a bit taken back by the treatment. He wasn't used to such things as well as being center spotlight.
Clearing his throat, he gave another bow of thanks and then slowly entered, keeping his regal physique and air about him. As he stepped into the den, he nodded a hello at the other lioness with Songstress. She seemed older, but there was a resemblance. Older sister, perhaps?
Stopping a bit out of the way, he looked back at the King and Queen waiting on further events. So far so good...

Tala eyed the male up and down for a moment. He silently wondered if the male was going to join them, here in TD. Tessa looked happy, and that at the end was all that mattered. He curled his tail around himself and sat on his rock, smiling at the male. Good luck...

Ballad sat, considering the male in stern silence. So then, this was Songstress's love... This male... It was he who had won her heart and soul... Ballad tilted his head and seemed to make a decision, and gave the young male a smile. "Does your family know of this?" He asked softly, deciding that would be the best place to begin...
Whistle smiled at her mate and daughters, then sat at Ballad's side. Smiling at Tala, she wrinkled her nose in a grin, and watched Halo.. The young male looked so nervous... Ready to drop at Ballad's feet... Her mate was imposing, but the kindness that made up his very being was hard to ignore...

His tail flicked as he came right out with the answer. "No. I was wandering when I found your daughter. My family is going through a time. My brother recently found a new mate and my family is trying to cope. We don't have much as a pride at it is. I needed to go and clear my head..." Halo gave a slight sigh. "But I swear to tell them when I go home." He promised, staring up at Ballad.

"Would you finding a lady lead to further chaos to your Clan?" Ballad asked. "And would they be willing to welcome Songstress among them?" He glanced at his daughter. "Have you offered?"
Whistle sighed and smiled at her daughter. Ballad was merely worried about her well-being, her happiness, and when he would see her.. It was a father's right... "My mate and I are only concerned for our Daughter, you understand, Prince Halo."

Halo nodded. "I understand, Queen Whistle. I have a little sister and I would do the same - and more." He stared at them, clearing his throat. "I doubt that my parents would have a problem. My brother came home with his unannounced mate. We had no idea he had one until he came with her. Honestly, we thought it was an old friend of ours that he had been infatuated with for a while. They almost looked like twins."
The blue angel realized he was babbling. He had gotten so nervous, he forgot who he was in front of! Mentally calming himself, he nodded at the second question. "I'm sure my parents would love her. They are the type of lions that would not mind anyone, so long as they do not hurt others." At the third, however, Halo was slightly puzzled. "Excuse me, but offer what, M'lord? Am I to offer something to you for Songstress' paw?" He asked. This would be a problem if he had to...

"Offered for Songstress to join your Pride, should she chose to..." Ballad offered kindly. The Prince's answers pleased him, and he found himself liking the young male more and more.
Whistle smiled indulgently as the Prince babbled, feeling rather bad that he was so nervous. She didn't know what it was like to be young and in love, but she was quite sure the Prince had never faced anyone as impsing as Ballad when it came to the love of his prized daughters.

"Oh, excuse my confusion. No, I have yet to ask Princess Songstress if she wishes to join my pride. I was meaning to, but as its out in the deserts, I feared she would not find it to her liking. We live in a small Oasis, but the underground burrows we had to dig can sustain many lions. Again, I'm not sure for Songstress. One such as herself should be out in the sunlight, and not in some hole in the darkness."
Halo had nothing against his family and their dwellings, but now that he saw where Songstress came from, it would make their relationship a little more complicated. He didn't want to leave his parents; they were getting old and pretty soon Holly would leave with her new mate as well. He couldn't just leave them alone...it would break him and his heart to no end.
