Kayin purred happily as Nallin stroked his back. "I look very girly, but I like it! I especially like the flowers!" He paused and thought for a moment. "Hey! I knew a guy from before, he liked plants a lot, he was pretty cool too. You should meet him sometime!"
He gave Nallin a bright smile. "Shall we play a game?!"

"I'm glad you like it," Nallin sat down and grinned happily. It wasn't often that her artisitc efforts were appreciated.
"What friend is this? And yes, we can play a game. What game though?"
She tilted her head and stared at Kayin for a moment, curiosity evident on her face.

Kayin blinked. Crap! He had forgotten his name. "Uhmmm...HE WAS BLUE! I know that! And uh...that's it." He laughed nervously and scratched at his nose.
"Game! We should..." he reached in one of his pockets and pulled out a deck of cards. "PLAY CARDS!"

"Blue? Really?" Nallin's eyes grew wide as she considered this. She'd never seen blue person before. At least, not that she could recall easily. She shook her head then re-focused on Kayin.
"What kind of card game? I gotta be honest.. I don't know much about cards, God Kayin."

He got an evil grin. "STRIP POKER!" As soon as he said these words he fell to the ground in laughter. He wasn't serious and of course, found himself more than hilarious. After picking himself up off the ground and wiping the laughter created tears from his eyes he giggled a bit more. "Hehehe...nono...maybe we should play blackjack!"

Nallin made herself comfortable and waited expectantly for some sort of enlightenment. It was kind of sad, she thought, an ex-thug-for-hire who didn't know the first thing about cards.

Kayin started his explination. "Okay so...Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth twn. Number cards are worth the value that they are, like...two is two, eight is eight, and so on. Aces are worth either one or eleven. The goal of blackjack is to get enough cards to get to twenty-one or as close to twenty-one as you can. If you go over, you lose. If the other person gets closer than you to twenty-one, you lose. And that's how it's played!"
He started to shuffle the deck around a bit. Dealing out two cards for each of them. "Okay, we both start out with two cards each. Don't show them to me though!" He looked at his own cards quickly. "And now depending on what total you have you can ask for cards to try and get to twenty-one!" He gave a bright smile. "Did I make sense?"

"You made perfect sense, thank you." Nallin smiled over her cards at Kayin. Then, turnign her attention to the cards, she frowned slightly in concentration.
"I think I would like one more card, please."
Humming softly to herself, she thought that she could have easily asked for more, but.. better to play cautiously until she felt a bit more confidant.

Kayin took a card and laid it face up infront of Nallin. "Your card is a four. Do you want more or will you stay?" He shifted nervously, looking at his cards. He had wished he got a better hand, and tried not to show his dissapointment, but he wore his emotions on his sleeve.

Nallin stuck her tongue out in thought as she considered. Even though she had a fairly low number, she erred on the side of caution.
"Umm... I'll stay for now, I think."
She studied Kayin from the corner of her eye. Either he had a bad hand or he was very good at pretending he did in order to throw her off. She couldn't decide which.

Kayin nodded and took a card himself, placing it face up on the ground. "An eight..." He sounded dissapointed. At this point he still only had thirteen, he continued fidgeting a bit, taking another card. "A five. I have to stay, because..." he flipped over his cards. "I have eighteen, I'm the dealing and at this point I can't hit anymore, it's against the rules." He gave a nod. It wasn't a bad hand, but he felt like he wasn't keeping Nallin's interest. "You know if you're bored we can do something else!"

Nallin smiled sweetly and reached over to pat Kayin's paw.
"I'm enjoying the game and I will take one more card. I'll even deal next time if you like."
She didn't want Kayin to feel bad and besides, she really was enjoying the game.

Kayin felt a knot in his neck as Nallin touched his paw. He just laughed it off with a smile. "Okay!" He gave Nallin another card. "A three. Do you want another card or will you stay?"

"I'll stay and that gives me a 12, I believe. I don't think I want to tempt fate too much more."
Smiling she put down her cards. A 2, 3, 4 and the final 3. She looked inordinately pleased with herself and grinned happily up at Kayin.
"We can play again, right?"
