Sai rolled over in her bed, stuck in her sheets and kicked about. "Nnnn...." Kick. Kick. Flail....THUD! Moaning she wobbled to her knees and rubbed a wonderfully large bruise on her head.

Peering across the bed she looked to see if she'd woken Kizzy. But, there was no sign of softly rising and falling spikes. Panic struck but was quickly sqashed by the sound of soft scribbling noises coming from near the door. Scooting over next to Kizzy, Sai looked down at the little drawing her girl was working on. "Hey there sweetie! What are you drawing?"

Kizzy's face was scrunched up in concentration, "DONE! It's me!"

"It's beautiful pumpkin! We can hang this up on the wall and then we can go make some breakfast, how's that sound?"

The orange Fae jumped up in excitement and bounced around. "Food! Food!" Sai smiled at her daughter and started to get the two of them dressed for the new day.

Carol sighed not hearing a response and closed the door silently behind her. So far the building seemed like the one she had been in just the night before. "Now....where did i leave that darn bag?" she asked herself aloud and walked a few steps forward. She was caustious in her steps as she did not know the vistor/guest boundry and she looked around hoping she wasnt crossing those lines, if there really were any.

She looked back and forth with each step before she finnally caught her eye on her bag. There it was right where she had left it, next to the chair. She gave off a breath of relief and walked over to it. "Hmm.." Was the only sound she made as she searched through her bag to see what she had left. Although it had only been one night it seemed like it had been forever and she couldnt remember what she had used to please the creature from before.

"A few peices of silk, a needle, some thread, and YES and apple!" She grinned happily and pulled the apple out and took a bite out of it, it tasted wonderful. "Ok..." she said after she swallowed her first mouth full. "Now..."she paused trying to think. "Now...what?"

A light breeze blew as a newcomer entered the village. The 19 year old girl named Paine didn't know what hand fate has dealt her, and was uneasy thinking if she could actually live here. She put down her small suitcase, and stretched her arms into the air. "Ah, what am I going to do?....well, I think I need some clothes, some food and water, and tehn I should e good...for now...then I gotta find the person in charge of the town..so I can speak to him or her. Now...where to start.." she said, picking up her suitcase and looking at the small village.

Faevan
"Dio, why don't you go rest. I can watch Shin today. I'll just be tending the farm. He seems to enjoy helping, and he's quite good at it." She smiled, but her eyes showed concern for the elderly rancher.

"Hmmm?" Dio leaned back in his chair, slowly letting his body digest the meal. He looked up at Faevan. "Rest? No, no. I'm fine. I slept so long before, I think my body has caught up." Dio tried to give a weak laugh, remembering the recent coma, knowing that he wasn't totally recovered yet. "Shin seems to do well at farming? He does seem happy. He always seemed like he enjoyed ranching, but was always so distracted. One moment he'd be tending the nanny, the next I'd find him in a tree! You know how nervous that makes me. He likes farming though?" Dio smiled, this time sincerely. It still amazed him he had a son, even he did only find the child as a seedling. Of course, now Faevan seemed more of a mother than Dio did a father... an odd twist, considering the relationship of the rancher to the farmer, but what with Dio's life was normal?

"I should return the the ranch soon, though. So much I need to catch up on."

"Yes, he seems to like farming, and he learns quickly."

Faevan looked at Dio, placing the plates down again and seating herself next to the old man. There were times when she could almost see the man's thoughts.

"Dio," She took his hand gently in hers, "Shin will always be your son, no matter what. Nothing will change that, even if he needs to live here with me for a while. I know the ranch might get a bit cramped bewteen you three." She looked at the blackberry plant. There was something a little less threatening about this seedling. Maybe Shin had taught her to quell her fear. After all, who could fear a child who was presently climbing trees trying to make friends with the birds?

"You know, he makes me nervous when he climbs too." She confessed, laughing out loud for the first time that day.

"Oh, I know he'll always be my son. I just hope I can be there enough for him. Especially with a new little one on the way." Dio shakes his head. "The ranch just takes so much out of me. I'm not as young as I used to be, you know. I don't have your never-ending energy, you know. Between you and Shin, I feel even slower. And with this little one? I'll feel even older." Dio slowly slid his chair back, standing from the table and stretching. "Hmmm... so much to do, supplies the least of them. Do you need anything from town? I feel bad making you do all the errands while I was... sleeping. I know how hard it is to go into the town."

"We managed." Faevan said, getting up again. "I could use some milk from your ranch, and maybe some fresh bolts of fabric. Shin needs some new clothes, and truth be told, so do we." She rummaged through the cabinets, pulling out a small change purse. "And maybe something sweet for Shin? He deserves a treat." She slid the pouch into Dio's coat pocket, pondering the statement Dio had just made. "Dio, you know I can help you at the ranch if you need it, right? It's not a problem. I did both while you were..." She let the silence fall again, no use in talking about the past.

"Milk, fabric, and sweets." Dio nodded to himself, going over the list in his head. "I should be back for lunchtime. I'll cook, since you've been working so hard."

"Ok." faevan nodded, handing the rancher his coat. "Be safe, and come back if you get too tired." She went to the window quickly to call Shin back in the house."Shin, your Papa is leaving for the village, come back inside!"

Within moments, Shin was in the house, catching his breath at Dio's feet.

Can I go too, Papa?" He looke up at Dio, eager to see the village again.

Sai followed Kizzy down the stairs, a fair distance behind though. At the bottom of the steps she noticed Carol munching on an apple. "Hello! May I help you?" Sai pulled out her maid apron and tied it on while Kizzy wandered over to the fireplace. "I was just about to make some breakfast for Kizzy and myself, you can join us if you like!"

Kizzy sank to her knees and stuck her head into the fireplace and breathed deep. A little pile of ashes was on the bottom and two orange eyes lit up with possibilities.

Paine sat down on the side of the road and opened her suitcase. She took out a piece of paper and a pen and started writing.

Well, its Day 1 here in the new village. I haven't met the person in charge yet, but thats something on my to do list. Right now, I think I got to find a place to live, some food, and some clothes. But maybe I'm forgetting about something. Maybe I gotta find some friends also

She stared out into space and tapped the pen on her lower lip. "Hmm...now...I should find these things...but I'm neither hungry, nor clotheless or sleepy..but i should do that soon"

The sun arose on a gruesome scene, the sun dappling the blood covering the cobble-stone streets, making it glow like fire. Seriva had been trying her hardest to revive her mother, and stem the bloodflow. Though it took her awhile, the golden fae had dragged Zeejay into the home, leaving a thick bloodtrail.

Seriva was giving it her all to help her mom... But so far it wasn't wokring out the way she planned. Zee was still out cold, her breathing coming rarely and very shallow. And to even add to the stress and drama.. Worm ran off.

The demonic cat was on riva's shoulder then suddenly lept away and dashed into the forest... Seriva had at first run after him, but stopped dead at the forest edge. She wouldn't go in there again.

Hisakata could hear the voice downstairs. "Just a second." Hisakata hurried ran downstairs and opened the door. "Oh my-!" Hisakta bowed as XUe-Lien peeked out from behind Hisakata. "Lady CHiaku! GOod day!" Xue-LIen waved and grinned. "Hi, who are you? I Xue-Lien, are you eat now? WE going to make cookies!" Xue-Lien missed a few words, but she didn't mind and she didn't hear so she just jumped exictedly. "This teahouse, I live here, who are you?" Xue-Lien asked again waving her hands. "Xue-Lien, thats Lady CHiaku. Our governess." Hisakata smiled and bowed again.

Paine was wandering the town, looking at the various places. "Hmm...I should find a place to stay for the night, or I could sleep outside...but that forest surrounding here...its pretty...eerie isn't it??" She turned to her left and saw an inn. "Woah, what luck! An inn! I hope they can find a small room for someone like me.." she said as she started walking towards the inn.

Somewhat taken aback by the friendly and excited greetings from the young woman and her fae child, Chiaku hesitated a moment. She peered into Xue-Lien's face, attempting a smile although it was apparent that some troubled thoughts were brewing behind her eyes.

"Hello...Ms...Ms. Hisatiki, am I correct?" the governess said, straining her mind for the name. "Hisa...Hisataku? Hisataka? Hisataka, yes?"

Chiaku became somewhat embarassed at her forgetfulness. When they had been rebuilding the village, she recalled that Hisataka had been one of the original villagers, though they had never become formally acquainted.
