As Nick breaks from cover Kamui inches his gun over the top of the jeep and he spots a muzzle flash. Putting his eye to the scope he spots about 10 bandits but only two with rifles. He sights in and fires taking one behind the ear causing blood to spray the others as the bullet tears a huge hole in the man's head and he drops to the ground. The others drop to cover behind the rocks as Kamui keeps his sights on their last known position his body tense waiting like a snake about to strike. He looks over to Nick "Back up is on the way, I have them pinned down, all we have to do is hold them off for a few minutes then we'll have them outnumbered." he yells hoping to shake the bandits confidence more as he chambers another round and uses a hand signal to motion Nick forward to close in more with the remaining bandits.

Having not seen them sneak into small arms range Kamui drops his rifle and draws an SMG, he sees Nick get shot and breaks cover hoping to draw fire as he sprays a burst from his gun taking another one down, as they turn to face him he drops one more with another burst, but then he's out in the open as they return fire. Bullets slam into his leather armor pushing him back and bruising ribs as more bullets graze his arms and legs. Bleeding from the superficial but painful wounds he drops behind a large rock and reloads his SMG only five more left he thinks to himself what I wouldn't give for a grenade, and I wonder what happened to the other rifleman?

he chuckles "back up isn't coming I was scaring them, and yeah I'll be fine, they're just surface wounds. Get me the first aid kit in the jeep and I'll bandage myself up or walk you through it."

"I guess we walk. Now take off your boot, I'll apply traction to your wound and then splint you up. Your wound is way more severe than mine so we'll tend to it first. I'll warn you though, it's probably going to hurt a lot when I re-align your foot."

first he goes off and rummages two pieces of wood that would make decent splints then lays them beside Nick's leg avoiding touching the injured side. He then takes out a few broad bandages (wide pieces of cloth) and lays them underneath the leg at specific intervals. He then makes an ankle splint out of some sheets of metal in the first aid kit and sets it ontop of the piece of wood that is to go underneath Nick's leg. he takes out a narrow bandage (a piece of cloth basically) and wraps it around Nick's ankle slowly he starts to apply pressure pulling it until he can feel the bones re-aligning. He then slowly twists it into the upright position and puts a rock on the wrap to keep the pressure. "okay this is going to hurt since I have no one to help me but do not struggle or it will just make things worse." Slowly and as gently as possible he lifts Nick's leg and lowers it into the splint, then double checks the traction wrap to make sure it did not loosen. He then ties up the other bandages over Nick's legs to hold the splint to him and then ties off the traction strap to the bottom of the splint. He then takes out a wrap from the first aid kit and wraps up Nick's foot leaving enough space for him to check the circulation when he is done. He sits back and examines his work and nods "it'll be slow since your leg is immobilized from the hip down, but it shouldn't hurt too badly and it won't get too badly aggravated. I just need to get you some crutches." he goes off and searches coming back with two large pieces of wood. "can you work on these until they will support you and they feel comfortable when you stand? I need to tend to my wounds with some gauze and wrap, then we can start back."

he nods then just bandages his own wounds and uses a stim pack "that should hold me off." he picks up his guns and holds the rifle "this might get tricky since you won't be able to shoot and move, and we'll be moving slow. Have you had any practice with a hunting rifle? If you have then you could sling this over your shoulder and when we're engaged you can offer me long ranged support and stay down and stationary."

Shaking his head at Nick's refusal and his bad mobility due to the splinted leg now he would have to take on more work to keep them safe. Since Nick's leg was immobilized from the hip down he would have to scout ahead and try to clear any dangers he found. Jogging on ahead of Nick he keeps his rifle ready as he scans for trouble, making sure not to get too far ahead of his injured comrade.

"yes, roaming Death Claws, maybe some more bandits, rad scorpions. I think that ghouls stay mostly in the cities, still that's enough on our plate to keep us on our toes."
