"Well that makes sense." Autumn paused and looked and around the room, "No, it's not that bad, just compared to my old house... my dad died a couple years ago and my mom and me had to move in here."
She didn't want to think about it, so she changed the subject, "Hey -- do want to go to a movie or something, there's nothing to do around here really."

It was a couple hours after he had left the shop. He was excited about his new job and Krys, she was really nice.
Ray lay on his couch in the living room with his feet rested on an end table. The couch was too small, so his feet went right over the end. He was hoping Krys or one of the guys would call so he could go out and do something. Comic books and T.V. can only entertain you for so many hours.

Description: Jay is a a shy girl that comes out of her shell with time. She is about 5'4 with shoulder-length dark brown hair, along with dark brown-nearly black eyes. She isn't model skinny, she is definately fuller.
Personality: Shy, but with time, comes out of her shell. She takes things "the wrong way". Crazy at points, and is a hopeless romantic.
Short Bio: Jay just moved here, yet she already has her eye on someone. She's an artist all-around. She draws, acts, sings. Just about everything. She is also in the band, playing the alto saxophone.

Jay, dressed in her regular uniform, a button down white Oxford with a black tie and fishnets and jeans ripped at the knee, ran into the school, knowing she would be late for art class. Though this was only her 2nd week here, she knew exactly where the art room was. Gerard had shown her around on the first day, and she was very happy.
AS she turned the corner as fast as she could, someone ran right into her, throwing her sketchbook and pencils across the floor. She looked up to find some random jock standing over her, snickering. "Sorry... loser." He walked away with others right behind him. "b***h," Jay mumbled under her breath, and just as she reached out for her sketchbook, the late bell rang...

Character Name: Nicole Jones, but goes by Nic
Age: 16
Description: African-American with a coffee like skin-tone, long curly black hair, short (about 5’ 4) wears glasses but has dark brown eyes...Always wears jeans and a t-shirt, unless she’s trying to impress.
Personality: She’s very intelligent, but can be extremely goofy. She’s stubborn, extremely opinionated, strong-willed, ambitious, and determined. She’s often moody, in that her mood changes quite swiftly. When she’s upset or angry she tends to lash out and attempt to hurt those close to her, and when she’s sad or has lapsed into a depression she retreats inside herself. But when she’s happy she’s bubbly and extremely talkative. She sings and singing and music is one of her outlets.
Short Bio: Nicole grew up in a very sheltered Christian home and has found herself rebelling from her over protective parents and their overbearing Christian values. She starts thinking outside the box her parents set up for her and making friends that her parents don’t think are acceptable. She is somewhat of a loner in that she can’t find a crowd to fit into at school. She’s not the stereotypical black kid and that’s hard for people to look past. Nic sighed as she checked out yet another tween tweeb and watched her leave. Shaking her head, she went back to her AP magazine, reading about the next big band. Sometimes she hated working at Hot Topic, too many posers for her taste. After a few minutes she glanced up to watch a new customer come in and gasped in surprise. “Gerard,” she thought, “Oh my God...” She couldn’t believe the guy she had been crushing over all school year had walked into the exact place she worked. Attempting to be inconspicuous, she pretended to continue reading, all the while watching Gerard out of the corner of her eye.

Autumn eventually convinced Jesse to go out. Then half-dragged him to hottopic, saying she wanted some new band tee's.
"Look, we'll just pop in and out and, hey, we might even see some people we know there or something. This summer I don't want to just sit around like I always do."
After riding the bus for twenty minutes, getting off and walking a block, they were there. The almost-best-store-in-the-world.
She walked in and slowly started to browse.
Then something caught her eye, a guy in a leather jacket with long-ish black hair.
"Hey Gerard!"

Nic watched another girl walk in with a rather sulky-looking guy. Ha, He looked how she felt about working there. She thought she recognized the girl from school. ...Autumn was her name. “Oh nice,” she thought dryly, “The whole school’s going to walk through the door any minute now...” Nic had returned to “reading” when she heard Autumn call Gerard’s name. “Crap,” her mind set out a mental alarm. Now that she really thought about it, she’d seen those two together. Maybe they were going out. God, she hoped not.

Gerard turned around swiftly at the mention of his name to see two people, a girl and a guy. For a moment he was puzzled until he realized they were from school. The people he had met just today. Odd.
"Hi," he scanned his memory for a name, "Autumn?"

"Yeah, and Jesse," she poked him in the arm gently, "told ya we'd see someone here."
She smiled.
"Whatcha up to? I figured I'd get some new band tee's. I've got a couple bucks to waste."
She walked a couple paces over and picked one up. Modeling it.
"Nah," she said, folding it back up and picking up another.

She watched and listened to the three talk and was surprised to see Autumn fold the tee back up before putting it away. Usually people just threw them where ever, leaving a mess for her to clean up. Maybe this chick wasn’t so bad. Speaking of straightening up, she figured she had better start doing that. She got up and walked around the store, picking and fixing the odds and ends of the store.

Gerard looked for an escape route. He just met this girl today and already she was talking as if they had known eachother for years. He just wanted to go home and draw. He wasn't sure why he had come here in the first place. All the "cool kids" came here now that the "emo trend" was "in".

He didn't want to be rude so he stayed.
"There's an Iron Maiden one right there. Gotta love Iron Maiden."

She started walking towards the check out just as yet another familiar face walked out.
