Demyx, for the most part, stayed out of the current conversation. The only noise coming from the sitarist was the few rustlings he made as he searched out a bowl. Soon enough he had found one, and went about filling it with water. That finished, Demyx went on a search for anything else that might be useful.
For now, Riley and Kaleb would be left alone.

His ears perked slightly when he heard Kaleb's voice. "Stop movin will ya." He walked over after a moment and knelt down beside is partner. "Yer gonna hurt yerself more and ... and don't do that."
Kaleb had to feel horrible already and he probably wasn't helping being as pissy as he was.

Kaleb relaxed and let his cheek rest against the carpet again, but he managed a small smile through the pain. He already felt better now that someone was next to him again, even though he didn't like having to look up at Riley. "A-a bit closer?" He asked with pleading eyes.

He scrunched his nose and scooted a bit closer. He didn't want to accidentally bump his partner and make him hurt worse. "It'd probably her less if ya didn't keep talkin. I mean that's gotta move yer ribs and then yer back."

"I-I'd have to breathe anyway," Kaleb said, huffing a bit and wincing as a result. He probably would have blushed a little if he wasn't looking paler than normal. "I-I can't talk to you up there..." It probably would have hurt less if he stopped talking, and he felt too tired to put in the effort, but he really needed the distraction.

He leaned over and rested his muzzle on his hands where they sat on the floor. Kaleb should have just fainted. That would have been easier. "Still shouldn be talkin. Should be tryin ta not hurt." If only this had happened at his place then he could just get Kaleb painkillers.

Kaleb smiled a bit when Riley got down to his level, it looked pretty silly in his Turk suit, but he was pleased his partner had indulged him. "I-I can't help it, i-it hurts all over no matter what I do," he replied, his smile vanishing. "Closer... please?"

"It'd hurt less if ya weren't talkin." If Kaleb was just quiet then he wouldn't have to worry about taking in deeper breaths to talk. He could just take shallow ones and maybe not ache.
"If i get closer im gonna end up touchin ya and then it's gonna hurt."

"I wouldn't have to talk if you would just come here," Kaleb whined weakly, there was still a fair amount of space between his own muzzle and Riley's, and that irritated him since he couldn't move on his own to fix that.

"Ya wouldn't have ta talk if ya just stopped." He huffed slightly before scooting as close to his partner as he would get. His nose was almost touching Kaleb's at that point.

Kaleb abruptly grinned and stuck out his tongue to lick Riley's nose. That made him feel better emotionally, even if trying to hold back giggles hurt worse than just talking. He really shouldn't have been giggly at all in that situation, but the whole ordeal put so much stress on his system that he couldn't help it.

"Ack s**t ... Kaleb!" He huffed at his partner one for licking him and two because he couldn't do anything to retaliate. "That's not fair ... i can't do anything back"

Kaleb didn't reply, he just started giggling out loud until there were tears in his eyes and the pain forced him to stop. His giggles quickly turned to miserable little hiccups, and he sniffled a bit before he could regain his composure and lie still again.

"Damn it i told ya not ta giggle, talk, whatever." He rubbed his muzzle carefully against Kaleb's. He knew that it would probably hurt his partner but it was all he could think of to do to make him feel better.

Finally, Demyx returned with a bowl of water and various other things he'd need to clean the wounds nicely. Making his way back to the pair, he raised an eyebrow before settling back into place on the floor.
"Alright Kaleb...I'm really really sorry if this hurts, I'll try to get it to be as gentle as possible..."
Ears flattening once more, the sitarist quickly went about using his powers. A bit of the water rose from the bowl, and made it's way over to Kaleb to start cleaning at the wounds.
"S-sorry if it's too w-warm or anything..."
