"Then we shall both have to remember that the other is very intent on keeping us safe." His hoof snaked out to caress her cheek. "And we must remember that it will be hard for each other." He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, "I will let you go this time...but you must promise to come back safe and sound to me."

She smiled and nodded, "Yes, of course I will come back."

"Stay here, rest, I will return soon," she leaped down from the bed and headed out to make her rounds.

Sinthos watched her go, trying to sleep while she was gone. All he seemed to be capable of doing was rolling back and forth and worrying about her meeting the hunteress.

Around the same time Firebolt was weaving in and out of trees and dodging weapon discharges. "Sinthos is never going to let me out of his sight again after this..." she muttered doubling back trying to lose the huntress.
Raze was not deceived by the trick. She was somewhat disappointed that the magic user was not with her, she had a few weapons prepared and wished to test on him. But that would have to come later...

Firebolt was uncertain how long she had attempted to elude the huntress. She only knew now that her body had sustained a few injuries: a plate on her leg blasted off, several singed and scalded patches all over her body,a particularly nasty one just below her eye. While alone they were inconveniences...together they were taking their toll on her. Energy crackled around her as her circuits shorted here and there. She either needed to hide...or to eliminate her enemy...neither would be easy at this point...
As the huntress sensed the chase was almost over she felt some regret. She had hopped for more of a challenge from this one...

Finally, against his better judgement, Sinthos picked up some powder and a stray hair of Firebolt's that was left on the pillow. He growled and went outside, undoing his earring and drawing a large circle on the ground with the cross on it before putting it back in. He took the powder and placed the powder around the circle. He tied her hair around his neck and used the tip of his tail to make a slit in his wrist. With the blood that oozed from the wound he spread it around the circle, muttering an incantation as he did so. The wind picked up and whirled around him and he was gone, reappearing next to Firebolt. "I told you not to go out..." He grumbled "Clasp hold of me...I will take you to safety."

She gaped at him in shock, "How did you..."
"Half breed!" Raze lunged at them.
Firebolt gasped and put herself between the huntress and Sinthos, "Go!"

"Not without you." He grabbed her tightly in one arm and ripped the hair from around his neck, sending them back to the circle with a flash of light and a gust of wind. "Get inside until I can prepare a path to your chambers."

"You are hurt and need to go to your rejuvenation chamber. I will prepare a way, but it will take me a bit to do so. You should go inside where you will be safe until it is time to go." He opened the rock door to his dwelling. "And I do not mean to snap. But the exact thing that I worried for happened. I am more than shaken at this point."
