Katherine half laughed, half coughed into her food. She nudged him back with the offended leg and stuck her tung out at him, "You better keep that promise. I'll hold you too it!" She giggled.

Danny grinned and went to say something but a happy bark came out. His eyes widened and his hands immediatly went to cover his mouth. He looked at her with a mix of surprise and fear.

Aria flew towards the orange glow, "um, nicholas?" she said suddely, "doesn't the sun set in the west?" she asked, the mansion was east..
Jeanie smiled again, "I dont want to burden you with things from my past, it's not fair on you" she said, calmed by watching him draw, she slowly changed back to her human form, her wings fading out of sight...

Nick slowed down and landed. "That's not the sun Aria." He said softly and walked out of the trees. The mansion had been set on fire.

Katherine blinked. Had Danny just barked? "Danny..... are you alright?" She leaned a bit closer, hoping he could still talk. She had this horrible image of Danny turning into a big black dog, never able to speak again.
Tomas smiled but kept working this time, "I don't remember me saying anything about burdens. Jeanie, if you need to talk, talk but if you don't then don't, don't worry about it." Tomas pushed up his glasses, inspecting his picture and turning to look at his new friend, noticing she had turned human, "You can shift form?" He didn't sound horribly surprised, more interested.
((lol,yeah, It's gotten me into a lotta trouble before -_- ))

Nick sighed. He couldn't do anything but watch. "Not to mention we don't have the supplies to do anymore research."
Danny looked at her for a few seconds. He took a breath and tried to speak. "Y-yeah... I-I think so." He said softly. He was a bit scared.

jeanie jumped, realised she had changed and switched back, "yeah. i.. i was a test subject.. it's embaressing, they chose me monthes before everyone else was changed and i was called freak for a long time.." she said quietly, "i was remembering why i stopped. my mother forced me to, and she told me i was terrible, which kind of killed my confidence, so now i don't draw" she said in a rush, "thats why i looked odd.."

Nick shook his head. "There may be a way to save it. Stay here, I'll be back in a minute." He said and took off once more. He flew low so he wouldn't be seen, and after scouting the area found nobody. He went back to her but didn't land. "C'mon, they already left." He said and took off once more.

He landed by the lake that was outside the buildings. "We're gonna stop the fire and recover what we can." He said and took off his jacket and shirt. "There's an underwater tunnel in this lake. It leads to the basement of the building where we can turn on the sprinklers inside the building." He said and took off his shoes.

"i'm pretty sure they will already be on, but okay" she said, taking off her jacket, leaving on her t-shirt and her shoe and socks, "ready?" she asked, "i'll follow you to the tunnel"

Tomas blinked slowly at her, "Wow..... what good fortune you have." He pushed his glasses up his nose and reached out a hand, gently placing it on her head, "Otherwise you never would have met us." He smiled. It only stayed for a moment though as he inhaled, a frown came to his face, "Do you smell that?" He turned back the way they had come, "Smells like smoke...."
Katherine took one of his hands, "Ok, come on, lets go talk to Nicholas, maybe he'll know what's going on." She looked a tad frightened herself as she hopped off the counter, heading out the door, she saw Jeanie and Tomas outside and paused, "Do you guys know where Nicholas is?"
