Those poor little dogs...
That reminds me off two things though. One is a story about a woman who spoiled her pet poodle, taking it everywhere with her (including Disney land). One day she took it to the zoo, and she took it to see the sharks being fed. The dog was excited by the smell of raw meat and started squirming. The woman though he wanted to see the sharks closer, so she set him on the tank rim...well, the dog, being a dog, leapt after the next flying meat peice. Once shark got the meat, one got the dog, diamond collar and all. There's a lesson in there somewhere I'm sure.
The other thing is a quote from the Belgariad... "Who was that?" "Brill" "What? Again? What was he doing?" "Trying to learn how to fly, last I saw him..." "Oh? How is he doing?" There was a sickening crunch below, followed by another. "Does bouncing count?" "No..." "Then I'd say he didn't learn in time..."
