*Dameon said nothing as they pulled through, his wings flapping contantly now. Finally they got to a point where the current seemed to be letting up slightly. less and less arms grabbed at them, and the sould became fewer and further in between. Dameons wing beat slowed a bit as he calmed down a bit. He loosened his grip on max just slightly. the worste of it was over, but they still had a way to go.*

"I'm fine. How about you?"

*He wasn't worried about himself at all. He could go as fast as hee needed or spend as much time here as he wanted. It was her he was worried about. He was holding here hear and if she got lost then it would be his fault. HE couldn't have that.*

*Dameon kept going after about ten normal minutes of acending the souls seemed to stop grabbing at them, and the river of souls was basically gone. Now it just seemed to be souls here and there all just sort of wandering in one direction. Dameon loosened his grip a litle*

"It is a little safer here. Thespirits below us were those of the evil, corrupt and malicious. There thend to be more of them than not. They have trouble coming up this high. The higher up you go, the more benevolent the souls get. That is why i told to try and rid yourself and you mind of the evil. Otherwise it would have been quite a pull for me to get you even this far, let alone all the way to where we are going."

*Dameon gave her a small smile.*

"You're not as evil as you thought..."

"This place is like a median. Between the two. They're like wandering souls. These are the ones that start ghost stories. Because the astral plane parralells the physical it's easy to switch between them. When one of these accidentally crosses and someone sees it, they think its a ghost, which techniacally is just a soul so they're right, they have seen a ghost."

"Your tired? I'm the one pulling us... Meh don't worry, we're more than half way there."

*With that dameon's spirit wings flapped a few more times and they continued rising. Twenty minutes later, they were at a point where the spirits wer a lot less dense than before. Dameon started to feel tired himself now. It was getting more and more difficult to move farther. They were getting to a point where only the purest sould could get with ease. And it wasn't even max that was making it difficult. Dameon wasn't without his inner evils either. He focused as much of his energy into his wings as possible and they climbed farther.*

"Almost, there..."

*Dameon kept pulling, he felt the energy she was giving him and his body automatically converted it to spirit and used it to help them forward. Dameon felt like they both wieghed a lot. He forced himself further, It wasn't tasking his physical much at all, only his energy. He pushed forward utill finally out of breath he stopped.*

"This is it. It's not literally the gates of heaven. This is Purgatori, a place where the dew of repentance washes off the stain of sin and girds the spirit with humility. Through contrition, confession, and satisfaction by works of righteousness, souls must make their way up the mountain. As the sins are cleansed from them, they will be illuminated by the Sun of Divine Grace, and they will join other souls, smiling and happy, upon the summit of this mountain. Before long tehy will know the joys of Paradise as they ascend to the ethereal realm of Heaven. This is the step before heaven. It's also the final level of the astral plane."

*Dameon pulled her up so she was "level" with him. Souls flew past them constantly. The dark black- purplish of the astral plane was now a more vibrant whitish. as souls went up past them they fadded in the distance abot them, to "heaven".*

*Dameon simply grabbed tighter as she tried to pull away. He was the only thing keeping them up here and her violent outburst wasn't making it easier. He held on tight to try and keep her from going anywhere. He thought fast and finally sent a surge of energy through him into her as a sort of shock to try and stop her.*
