OOC: FAIRIES!
Peter smiled, but before he could reply, Mrs. Keyes opened the door. "Good morning," she told them both, after blinking a few times. Seeing her son half-asleep with a woman took some getting used to. "Breakfast is ready downstairs, if you'll want something now."

((san francisco?))
Jess sat up and gave Mrs. Keyes a lazy smile. "Smells good." She got up and fed Darts, who was perched in his cage on Peter's desk, before brushing her hair and waiting for Peter to come downstairs with her.

OOC: Winding roads.
Peter brushed his teeth and walked out of his room, his hair mussed from the pillow. "Mum's the best cook in the world," he informed her, as they walked down the stairs together.

By the time the others arrived, Mr. Keyes was already sitting at the table, munching on a piece of toast and reading the Daily Prophet. "Peter, why didn't you say that your Headmistress has gone missing?"

OOC: You're going to turn someone emo one day.
Peter blinked. "What? McGonagall? She's not missing. I spoke to her yesterday evening," he informed his parents confidently, taking a piece of toast and spreading some marmalade on it as though nothing had happened.

((yeah, thats my goal in life))
Mr. Keyes shrugged. "Says she disappeared sometime last night. A couple of students told the authorities this morning. Desiree L'Ouverture and Raymond Land." He looked up inquisitively. "Don't you know them, Peter?"

OOC: Woo. Ambitious.
Peter looked up, and set down his toast. "Yeah, I do." He held out his hand. "They were looking for McGonagall last night, but...could I see that?"

"Sure thing." Mr. Keyes folded the paper over and handed across to Peter, keeping the entertainment section for himself.
"What does it say?" Jess leaned over Peter's shoulder and read while she ate an orange section.

"Just that Ray and Desiree told staff that McGonagall had gone missing, and they do know who took her, but that information's classified." He set down the paper in disgust. "The one piece of information that actually means something, and it's classified. How stupid."
Mrs. Keyes looked up and exchanged glances with her husband. Peter was almost remarkably like him in some ways.

Jess frowned and went back to eating. "I thought you talked to her last night. Maybe there was someone there with her? Did you see anything?" She skimmed the article herself, absentmindedly.

"No. She was alone," Peter replied, munching on his toast slowly. "At least, as far as I could tell. And she wasn't nervous or anything at all. Just irritated and exhasperated. Like usual."

Jess shrugged her shoulders and went back to eating, looking down at herself in her school robes from the previous day. "Did I forget to change last night?"

Peter grinned at her. "You collapsed as soon as you came in. Didn't have the heart to wake you." He might have said something else, but it felt a little awkward with his parents in the room, looking at the two of them like they were the world's most marvelous entertainment.

"Ohhhh, alright." Jess plucked at her shirt a bit, trying to make sure it was completely covering her stomach. "It's all wrinkled now. Good thing I don't have to wear this until after Christmas."

Peter nodded, and looked up curiously at Jess. "Well...she'll be born about that time, won't she?" he asked cautiously, wishing that his parents would lose all interest and leave the room now.
