"I'll carry him," Hiai replied, resigned to being the strongest ninja on the rooftop. She lifted him up and let him lie down on a floating table-top made of sand while Admete watched her cautiously; Hiai nodded and moved her hand back and forth, making the sand move, to check that Reks was secure.
"Okay, team 2, move on down to the gate," Hiai instructed her own team, who rushed on past Ryoku while she spoke to Rek's two ninjas.
"Why are there only two of you?" she asked, her brow furrowed slightly as she wondered where the third of the group could be. "You two are way behind Reks, he must be teaching you, do you not have a third team member?"

Admete trotted along the sand table, which gave an image of the sand flowing down, though it wasn't moving at all. Riku nodded his head towards the feline. "Admete is our fourth; some sort of ninja-cat..." He said, torn between trust of the sand ninja. She seemed kind polite enough, if not kind, towards them and she was helping their exhausted leader, but at any moment she could turn that bed of sand into a casket.
Hannah gulped. "After somehow... Transporting us about a mile from here, from the rock village, he just... Collapsed. Do you think he could have just used up too much chakara, or is he going to... Die?" She asked, no experience in this field. She had never seen anyone so fast pased and energenic, and now she saw his almost still body floating in the air on the thin table of sand. It was such a difference, almost like when she was at her grandfather's funeral... But she blotted the memory out quickly with a worried shudder, refusing to relive those memories.

"Hmm, it's good to see you again by the way Admete." She nodded to the cat politely, knowing how intelligent she was. She continued to walk, just looking at Reks out of the corner of her eye, as his little students babbled on at her like children.
Must not kill them. Must not kill them. Aw hells, why not? Wait, no! Must not kill them! Reks' would have a blue fit if I killed them. Aw... damn...
"No, he's not going to die," she said with strained patience. "He's just tired out. I haven't seen him use that technique so he's probably still building up the chakra reserves to deal with it. Until he's trained with it more, using it too much will wipe him out." She poked his mouth in to a morbid smile with a little sand,
"See?" she said with a sadistic smile, "All better." She grinned rather cruelly at the young girl, just getting some irritation out of her system so that she didn't go insane listening to this cry baby. By this time they were at the gate and Ryoku was no where to be seen. Is he lost again? Hiai wondered to herself as her own team joined them and Zabura stared at Reks edgily.
"What's going on?" Shoyu whispered to Kenojo.
"I think Yousoku-sensei is having trouble dealing with the little leaf-nin. They don't get the same emotional training as we do. I hear they can be rather... sensetive." He glanced sidelong at Hannah wondering what had upset her so much.

Hiai raised an eyebrow and then swiftly covered Ryoku in sand and pushed him in a box under Reks' board. It had air holes in mind you, she just didn't want to stop walking.
"Hidden enough?" she asked with a smile, glancing through a hole in the box about the size of her hand where she could see his face. The guards ran past them, and past them again to go back to their posts without noticing Ryoku floating by.

Hiai raised an eyebrow and dropped the bottom of the box so that Ryoku fell right in to the ground.
"No," was her taciturn reply with a smirk as she carried on walking. "Now hurry up before I just drag you out of here." They were back at the gate, but the guards were not present. Only the check-point guard remained and as soon as Hiai flashed her hitai-ate, they were out of Sunagakure and in to the real desert.

"Ry! Come on!" Hiai shouted, looking behind her to see Ryoku walking to catch up.
"We need to move quickly and as a group; I'm not loosing anyone today." She carefully raised the sand around Reks so that he was protected from the harsh winds but she was still wondering how long it would take unless they traveled underground. She glanced at her own team, and at Reks' younger pupils, would they be ok with that? For all she knew the emotional girl, Hannah, was also claustrophobic.
"Now then," she began, about to ask everyone what they thought. "Ry, do you have enough energy for your hiraishin? If you could teleport with a couple of people then I could bring the rest underground; I'm just thinking of, ahem, people's possible dislike for subterranean transport, and for my own exhaustion. I can't carry everyone at once."

"Hmm," Hiai thought carefully, "Well considering how exhausted Reks is, perhaps we should head to the edge of the desert nearest to Konoha with Reks' team." She looked closely at the horizon, spotting a small rock protrusion from the sand.
"See that rock over there? Aim for it and keep going until you reach a path by a forest where the desert ends. That's the road in to Konoha. Reks didn't mention to you where we were going did he?" She hoisted up the sand-bed on which Reks was lying and started gathering sand underneath her feet, and team 2's feet, ready for transport.
