Snow crunched lightly under paw as a pair of vixens made their way back onto the tribe lands. It had been far too long since the sisters had been on their home lands, but the reprieve had been very much necessary. Yudoku, embittered by past events to the point of solitude, had been in no shape to properly serve her tribe. Despite protests, Kin'iro had traveled along with the darker vixen to give the other comfort and support.

"Do you think that they will even take us back?" Yudoku wondered aloud as they trudged onward. It had been so long... And she had grown quite used to the world of the sun. Still, there was just something nice about nocturnal living that was both comforting and familiar to her.

"Of course they will," Kin'iro answered back with a smile. "You forget that they are our family. I am sure they will understand."

Yudoku nodded, but kept silent as they continued onward. As much as she was glad to be back home, she was still a bit edgy about meeting the elders. While she understood they reasoning and intent, that past meeting with the two would never settle down well with her.

Michie landed lightly on a broad limb of a tree over-looking the lake. He rubbed his paws into his eyes, still slightly drowsy from the long slumber he'd only just awoken from.

He wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he was sure that if he stayed put, he would find a member or two of his tribe eventually.

"Everyone else is okay though, aren't they?" Ari was sure that if something had happened to his mate, or their children, Kavi would tell him. But he still couldn't help but worry. It seemed like their family just attracted trouble. Kavi's injury spoke to that.

Ari noticed Thea wandering off, but he'd worry about getting her back here for the meeting later. Right now he wanted to stay by his son.

He knew that it really matter if he stayed or left, but it was just the principle of the thing: especially when Kavi had been gone for so long.

And he couldn't worry about Thea for long, anyway, as a 'phim suddenly landed in the middle of the group. He placed himself between her and Kavi, and watched her toss her head twice, before she finally spoke. But he still had no idea what was going on with her.

"Good evening. Who are you, and what brings you here?" While 'phims tended to be good by nature, he couldn't help but be cautious. It'd be just his luck to be landed with the one 'phim who acted more like a 'deava, or something equally insane.

Again, he looked over to his son, to make sure Kavi's condition hadn't suddenly taken a turn for the worse.

But...it looked like maybe his luck was beginning to turn, as three foxes whom he hadn't seen in--well, he couldn't remember how long, other than 'long'--arrived at the lake.

"Kin'iro, Yudoku, Michie, welcome back," he greeted them. He wondered where they had been, and what they had been doing, but right now, the 'phim and Kavi were the centers of his attention.

Yudoku gave a small polite nod at Ari's greeting but said nothing more. Kin'iro on the other hand gave more of a small bow. "Good evening, Ari. Everyone," the shaman greeted with a smile, looking briefly at all faces old and new before taking a seat by the lake with her sister. They seemed to have arrived during a busy time, so further conversation would have to wait until later.

Unlike her sister, Yudoku didn't only briefly glance at everyone before turning back to the modiphim spectacle in the center. No, the huntresses' eyes were much more calculating than that as she looked at each present modi in turn. She felt as if she was missing something. That wounded fox... he's one of Ari and Kazuki's children, isn't he? Actually, where is Kazuki? Are the rest of their children around somewhere? It was a curious thing for sure.

Kin'iro noticed Kavi not long after Yudoku had, and immediately sat back upright. She wanted to walk straight over and check on the other fox's condition, but at the same time she did not wish to disturb the visit with this stranger. Settling for a silent solution, the golden vixen looking pointedly between Ari and Kavi, trying to ask with her eyes whether it would be alright for her to check on him or not. Hopefully Ari would notice.

Michie offered Ari a smile and a quick greeting, but otherwise stayed quiet and perched in his tree. He could tell that now was not time for idle chatter.

Nato was hit with a wave of emotions as he and Mitora arrived on the scene. He was filled with joy upon seeing the sisters Yudoku and Kin'iro, especially Kin'iro as she was the other shaman in their tribe. Of course, Vitali was there too, attaching himself to his daughter. But Nato would have to deal with him later. The interesting small fox Michie had also arrived back as well as a new 'Phim Ari seemed to be addressing. But most importantly, there was Kavi, who was hurt.

The male shaman wasted no time in tending to his wounded tribe member. After a few gentle pokes and prods, Nato determined that Kavi's ankle wasn't broken but it was a pretty bad sprain. All that needed to be done was rub a few good herbs on it, wrap it with some leaves or vines, and have Kavi stay off of it for a few days.

"It's nothing to serious and won't take me long to handle. Kavi will be fine in no time." Nato said to his elder confidently. He knew how Ari could get when he worried and that was the last thing Nato wanted. "Not that you have to be told this, Kavi, but I want you to rest and stay off your paws until I get back." He couldn't picture the younger male getting up, but it was always better to be safe than sorry. "Kin'iro." Nato said, turning to the younger shaman. "You still remember what leaves and vines we use to wrap up injuries?" He smiled, hoping she would take the hint that he was asking for her help. The process of tending to Kavi would be much quicker if he had her help.

"Hi." Mitora said with a light giggle at her mates awkwardness. "And I missed you." She said smiling at him. She scooted herself a little closer to him and wrapped her tail around his as she watched her father work. "You arrived on a rather interesting night. The tribe isn't usually like this." She turned her attention back to Tali while she spoke. "Although I'm glad it is like this." She added.

So many new foxes were coming out of their hiding. And a 'phim even made an appearance! Tonight was going to be a good night, she could tell.

((So, once this meeting gets started, when would be a good time to introduce kits? XD))

Nato! Ah, it was certainly good to see the other tribe shaman again. Kin'iro felt just a touch bad though when he immediately rushed over to Kavi's side. Perhaps she should have done the same, rather than waiting for Ari's permission on the matter. She stood up now and padded briskly over to the two, watching intently as Nato evaluated the injury. "Of course I do," she replied with a smile. "I shall go get some immediately." True to her word, the golden vixen started off in search of said foliage. Hopefully they still had enough in reserve despite the winter.

Yudoku hadn't moved from her spot as her sister up and left, but she felt rather awkward just sitting there doing nothing. Even before she had spent much more of her time searching the lands for prey than hanging around with the group. "Is... anyone hungry?" she asked awkwardly, tail wrapping around herself as she sat up straighter. It really had been far too long...

User ImageIt held back near the shadows, at the edges of the gathering. It could see that its tribe was busy, its elder especially, and it did not want to interrupt him while he was taking care of the tribe.

But it had been sent to help him, while the other elder was away. Should it approach? Should it stay? Approach? Stay? Go? Stay?

It could see that there were many others who were not speaking with the elder, but it did not think it would be proper to speak to those first. It should introduce itself to the elder first, should it not?

Or should it move forward, so that the elder could at least see it was there, and wait until the elder was done speaking to the modiphim before introducing itself?

Finally, it decided that was the best plan, and so it took a few steps forward, so that it was illuminated in the moonlight, pale silver light glinting off of silver claws and horns, but absorbed by its black, black hide.

Selene looking around, scanning the faces of the other foxes. She hoped this tribe was friendly, though, she could not see any 'Daevas about, so there was a good chance that it was not too bad of a tribe. She drew in a deep breath, exhaling it with a sigh. "Well... I was just looking for a place to stay for the night," she explained, shifting her tired wings on her back. The pain she did not feel earlier began to flow through her muscles. "I'm Selene," she introduced with a respectful bow of her head to the Elder across from her. "If you wish, I could leave for the night and not disturb you or your tribe,"

Michie perked up at Yudoku's words. He was hungry, and he hadn't realized just how much until someone mentioned food.

Quickly hopping from his branch, he trotted over to the female, and smiled up at her shyly. "I am, actually. I could help you hunt, if that's what you were planning?" He also wanted to get away from all the adult talking; he wasn't much good at all that.

Yudoku smiled at the small kit as he approached. He truly was adorable. "Alright then, feel free to tag along with me. We can search for something together." As she stood up to leave, some movement in the shadows caught her eye. The huntress looked over in time to see what appeared to be a tribe guardian stepped out into the moonlight. Beautiful, she caught herself thinking, admiring the dragon's ebony and silver colors. But, just what was a guardian doing here at this time of night? Probably wants to speak with Ari, like most everyone else, she amended to herself. Forcing herself to tear her eyes away from the creature, she looked down at Michie and gave him a light nudge with her nose. "Let's get going then."

Michie glanced up to see where Yudoku was looking, and spotted the shimmering figure as well. It was so big, he unconsciously stepped behind her, and peaked out at it. Once he was nudged forward, he glanced up at her for a moment, then nodded and started walking in a direction away from the guardian. "A rabbit sounds really good," he replied, while sniffing a bit at the air.

Anja let Nato go, knowing his job was more important than mere conversation. He was replaced shortly by Thea, and Anja offered a small smile. "Good evening, Thea. Pleas,e I'm not trying to be rude, but we need to get back to the lake. If Ari intends to hold a meeting, we need to be there."

It was time to face her Elder.

Anja stood easily and started walking, knowing Thea would follow. "It is a busy night. Normally I owuld not skip conversation for this," she added with a rueful chuckle.

Close by were Yudoku and Michie, who she hadn't seen in awhile. They were heading away from the meeting, so she called out: "Yudoku, Michie! We all need to head to the meeting place right now. I know Kavi is injured, but Ari has news to share. Food will have wait for his messages."

She moved into the clearing and padded to Nato's side, sitting next to Kavi. "I'm glad you're safe, she told the younger male gently. She didn't act like Ari's diapproval troubled her; he didn't need more stress from her tonight.

"Thank you, Nato," Kavi said with a light sigh. What good was he going to be laying around for days? He hated laying down for more than a few hours. "Guess this means you'll be serving me for a few days," he teased his sister weakly, since she was still by his side

Yudoku paused when she was addressed, and turned her gaze onto the dual-toned vixen. He has news to share? Wouldn't have known from his silence, she thought dryly to herself, but in response to Anjefy she gave a small nod. "Very well then. The hunt will wait," she said simply, turning back and padding over to her previous seat. She was partially curious as to what this news might be, but she still wasn't entirely comfortable just sitting there among the group. I do wish my sister would hurry up with those vines...

Michie watched the others move towards the lake, and sighed silently to himself. He really had been hoping to get away from the large group; crowds simply made him uncomfortable.

Quietly, he padded over to sit a little to the side of Yudoku to wait patiently.
