Hey guys...I'll be undergoing oral surgery tomorrow...so I might not be around for a few days, okay? Don't get TOO upset by my oh-so-sad absence!! wink I shall leave thee this replacement to act in my stead: ...a constant companion...a rigid character...a rock-hard code of moral conduct and absolute good taste...why, it's almost as good as the real thing! domokun

LOL, I love the Pyro-rock. XD
So ARGH, I've been doing nothing but essays and getting stuff ready for Katsucon(I'm leading our club in going...) and still have pneumonia. So I am STRESSED LIKE WOAH. So Katsucon is this weekend, which means I'll be totally unavailable until Sunday. I just posted something, but I wanted to let you guys know why I might not respond to anything so quickly.

Vale Kinomoto I go away for a few days and you guys lead an insurrection *sighs* Of course they did. They're on my payroll. And you didn't give them enough kickbacks.

Ivy-chan Depends. Elaborate on 'car business'. Well before I delve into it. It is a symbol for sex, right?

I highly doubt that Ikuhara is quite that Fruedian. Let's just say...sex may happen in the car, and it may happen frequently, with the right passengers, but the car itself is not Sex embodied in car form. This is a bit complicated to explain, obviously, so bear with me.
Akio's car is the vehicle, the symbolic 'chariot' that transports the passengers from the world of Ohtori to the End of the World. From forced stasis in childhood, hurtling into the real world, or maturity. Sex is associated with adulthood, which is an interpretation of the meaning of The End of the World, Utena-wise. We see obvious sensuality associated with the car, whether the sex involved the Chairman or not.
The car is used to push or force the characters towards certain states of mind, and it can also symbolize changing perspectives or changing situations. (See plots and discussions in the Akio car.)

I was just reading some a couple of essays that mentioned the car to be a sex symbol, although they didn't elaborate on it. Well, in any case, this what I have to go on and it makes a fair bit of sense. Thanks, Ivy-chan. 3nodding
