The clouds were gray today, Nix had even lit up a few bolts moments before, she was tired now, over using was stored energy she had, she felt exhausted yet full of energy, her thoughts totally contradicted her muscles. Flicking her tail she rolled over in the grass, she was coming here more often then not now, it was nice, cool during the night, warm, sometimes hot during the middle of the day where the sun rose high.
But it was nice, it was nice.
"Its a-Its a-Its a, new, day..." she sang out to herself, softly, almost in a whisper. She mused and sang randomly sometimes, it was an old habit that never died, things got boring, and she could sing. What would today bring? She wasn't sure, but she knew quite well that it was a new day...

A dark figure strode through the grass nearby, blue eyes turned to the distant sky and the dark clouds that threatened the sea of blue, perhaps a sign of the coming rains. Senses alert, his ears suddenly pricked, pierced by a nearby voice. It was unfamiliar, and as it did not belong to a fellow scout, the lion altered his path to investigate.
As he drew closer the voice began to take shape, and for a moment he wondered if there were more than one stranger until he realized the voice was not speaking, but was singing. Perhaps it was a young cub out playing closer to the borders than it should have, but the voice seemed older, what would he find waiting for him at the source of that voice?

Rolling over as if to get herself a bit more comfortable Nix stopped singing and wriggled her back into the grass, trying to make a suitable and soft place to rest. Her shoulders hurt lately from all of the searching she was doing for her sister, and still with all of the searching it came to no avail.
Nothing had happened, and she wasn't closer to finding her.
"I wonder if she'd ever come to a place like this..." she asked nothingness, raised a paw and seemingly shot a spark from her white tipped toes, boredom was encasing her, she was tempted to make a lightning show for any cubs' eyes that were cast up at the sky.
