Actually, no, although that is very logical thinking.

Degrees can have various prefixes, such as Bsc, BS, BBA etc, depending on the subject matter and type of course.

A BA is the most common form of degree and stands for a Batchelor of Arts, it encompasses a good deal of subjects in the Liberal Arts or Science areas of study.

I think Wikipedia may give a more coherant definition than I, however.
