"Ah, I've never really stuck around long enough to see what they do with the carcass when everyone's had their fill." She said licking off a peice of meat from the bone.
"Well maybe we'll run into some of the others while we explore." She said looking at the bone she paused. "The great kings?"
She looked up, "You know how in the night sky there's all those stars?" Her tail flickered, "Our pride belives they're the past rulers of the lands we live on. They're always there to guide us when we need help. Speically the current ruler." Her tail flickered, "Mufasa's up there somewhere, our last king.... Watching over his daughter, Kamiki as she rules the land."
Her eyes turned back to ani, "Atleast that's what I've been told."

"So..." He looked up into the sky, blinking a couple of times, then looked back at her. "My grandpa is up there? And his father? And one day... One day my uncle will be there too?"
The thought was reassuring. It would be fitting for the kings of the past to live on in the night sky, always watching and guiding and protecting their prides...
"That sounds really nice." He murmured, staring down at his paws. "I wonder if they get to meet the gods and goddesses while they're up there..."

Zuri nodded and smiled, "Of crouse, all great kings are up there. Although there might be some queens as well, I mean speically as Kamiki is the prideland's leader now, she'd have to be up there.... Couldn't leave them out." She laughed softly, "Of crouse I'm sure it's only the queens that can actully run the prides."
She paused she'd never really thought about that. She peered up at the bright sky, wondering the same thing. "Hm, that's a good question. Maybe next time I see a god or goddess I'll ask them, and then I'll make a point to find you and tell you about it." Zuri had never thought about that before, and now that quesiton settled with all the rest of the ones she was curious about.

Ani stared at her for a moment. Next time she... she... whaaa?
"You... You've met one of the gods?" He was stunned. "I... I thought they rarely ever came down to speak to us... You.... You've spoken to one?" He was in awe. Maybe that meant one day he would get to meet Hestia, the goddess who taught his father! Or... or even...
"Do you think... Maybe one day, if i'm diligent and faithful, that Finar-si might come down and speak to me?" Oh, that would be amazing!!

Oh shi--- "Ehe..." She looked around and scooted closer to ani so she could whisper in his ear. She couldn't really cover that up, she should've thought about it. "Yes but don't tell anyone, I met one when I was younger... It's our little secert okay? Although then again I don't remember it was a goddess or if I just thought I saw wings on her... Because they were gone when we went for a walk..."
Zuri backed up and sat down looking at him pondering. "I... I don't know, maybe. I think they can walk with us and not be seen. I mean you know, I think they have someway to hide themselves and be like everyone else if the one I had meet really had wings."
The details were fuzzy to her, not to mention she remembered promising not to tell so that'd have to do for a cover up.

His eyes grew wide as she spoke, and though she didn't say much about the goddess, he seemed pleased. She really had met a goddess... That was so awesome!
"I won't tell a soul." He said, nodding vigorously. "My lips are sealed." And he decided never to speak of it again unless she brought it up. But WOW... A real goddess! Probably not Finar-si, because why would Finar-si show herself to a Pridelander? But still! A goddess! How cool was that?!
After a bit of throat clearing, he shook himself, once again sending his mane flying about. He flicked his tail a bit, then smiled roguishly at her. "So who are we going to go pester... I mean, meet... first?"

"Good." Zuri then pondered over this question, she herself didn't know too many pridelanders but She was sure they'd find plenty of them as the time came.
Her tail flickered softly. "Well I'm not fully sure, but I can say we should start heading towards one of the more populated areas. I'm sure we could find pleanty of pridemembers around. Sometimes there's a storying telling or two; If we're lucky we'll run into the Queen of the pride. Along with many others. We could listen to the story as well. Sometimes the story tellers can explain more than I could about our lands."
She nodded pondering now where was the story telling normally held. She looked around getting baring for if he decided to head that way it wouldn't be too hard to get there.

"Okay." He beamed, following her gaze around the surrounding areas. "That sounds like it would be neat."
A new friend, a new home, a good bone and a story of the past all in one day? Oh yes, Ani was a happy fellow indeed. This was turning out to be far more wonderful than he had imagined. Sure, he had hoped he would find a nice place to stay during his roving and wandering, but he hadn't thought at all about meeting others or hearing of their pride's history.... And the bone? Well... Ani loved bones. <3

"Well it's settled then. We'll set out and see if we can't find the story tellers."
Zuri beamed, maybe it'd be her chance to meet some Nannies as well. Her tail flickered as she got up and headed off towards the direction of the last general area that she'd known the stories to be held in.
Peering behind to see that ani followed her.
