Funsani strode purposefully through the thick, in his opinion, rather annoying brush, toward the open beach, to watch the sun as it faded into the grasp of the ocean. He snorted softly as his toe caught on a root, and he nearly tripped, though he saved himself gracefully. He shook his mane as he did so, in a manner that said 'I meant to do that', just in the extremely unlikely possiblity that any other creature might've seen it; although he knew that there probably weren't any others around, at least not here...it was still too deep in, and scary. He chuckled to himself, enjoying the noises his various types of jewelry made as he shook his mane, and then shook himself again, smirking in a cocky fashion. The scruffy red beast stopped for a moment, and furrowed his brow as his nose twitched; he sneezed. Amused again, by the jingling and clicking of his jewelry, Funsani smirked even more, and then continued on his journey toward the water's edge. "Won' let thar be a day when ol' Ani ain't seen tha sun gone down." He snorted, playing with the piercing below his lip absent-mindedly, as he leapt over a fallen tree, swinging his tail from side to side, and then veered to his left, as there was a well-beaten path there, that lead straight to the water. "Hurr we go now." He said gruffly, with a slight cough, shaking himself again; continuing toward the water, again. The brick-colored male watched the shapes of shadows move all about his own body as he walked at his brisk pace, grin still in place across his features.

The heavily tattooed lion took a swift turn to the left, as he found his worn-down little path that he took every seventh day to get to the beach, in order to watch the sun fall into the ocean's waves. It always looked as though the waters were momentarily set on fire, and that was something that Funsani had, and always would find fascinating. He smiled as he saw the jungle floor turning into the pale, almost white sand of the beach, and then looked up, as he ducked underneath a second fallen tree, passing behind some large rocks, which momentarily blocked his view of the ocean, and then finally, past the last few scrubby little bushes, onto the beach; thoroughly, did Funsani enjoy the feeling of the sand particles between and beneath his toes.

Funsani continued his walking about half-way toward the waters, and then reclined to his haunches, tail twitching behind him, of it's own accord. "So beautaful..." He trailed off quietly, turning, only briefly, to nibble at an itchy spot on his side.

Her mother had gone and disappeared on them, or maybe Nyem had just wandered off too far, really, the female could barely be bothered to keep track. Either way, Nyem, who had relied on Leboya to do EVERYTHING for her (weather she should be able to do for herself or not) was -not- happy by this turn of events. As such she had actually dared to venture from home in search of Leboya, but being a bit of a coward that she was, refused to leave the coastline too far from sight. That was how she came about this part of the shore.

Now... granted, she'd had to stray enough to pass through a rather thick stretch of jungle, and twice she'd debated going back, but the sound of the sea pressed her on. What would she find? Was Leboya on the other side? Had she found herself a new family? The questions burned, she was dying to know, or at least part of her was.

She gave an annoyed and outraged growl of frustration, stumbling out of the thick, falling just a bit less than gracefully to the sandy floor with an abrupt grunt. Muscles sore from the unexpected trip, the lioness glowered, trying to push her small and frail form up onto all fours before realizing that lo and behold, she was hardly alone. Pink eyes, at that point, snapped to focus on the rusty red and white pelt before her, a strange marking or three coming to her attention.

".... Who are you?" She demanded after a narrow-eyed gaze, scrutinizing to the last.

The brick-colored lion snorted as he spun, wishing that he wasn't being distracted from his favorite sight in the whole world; aside from new treasure, of course, and resting his gaze upon an adolescent female, for now, apparently of rogue heritage. "Good'ay to yah, li'l missy." The male grunted, flicking his tail in only the slightest irritation. He didn't really mind coming across others, but when they were demanding, and seemingly rude, he couldn't help but get a little irritated, as anyone with sense would. "Me name be Pirate Lord Funsani." He chuckled a little. It had been a while since he'd introduced himself to anyone, and it sounded a little silly; the formalities. "O'course, young miss, Funsani'll do ye jus' fine." He snorted softly, turning to nibble at that damned itchy spot again. "Who be ye?" Funsani inquired carefully, hoping it wasn't treading too far into the females business, or...at least, what she thought was her business. In all fairness, Ani thought that introducing himself, and being kind about it, had earned him the right to know whom he was addressing.

The male gave his tail another flick, and then turned, for another brief moment, back toward the ocean, as he really would rather he didn't miss this, as it was only every seventh day, he reminded himself, that he came to see this spectacle. He lifted a brow carefully and ran his tongue over his lips, anticipation creating nervousness within him. There was only a few seconds in which the waters really did look like they'd been switched for hell-fire, and as he'd thought enough before, Ani really despised having to miss it. "Ye ever watched tha' sun gone down hurr m'lady?" Funsani inquired softly, leaving his brow lifted as he turned back to her. "Almos' magical." He crooned, shivering slightly at the thought of it.
