Schatz gnawed on a bone, stripping any last bits of meat from it. The female hyena had become ravenously hungry as of late, and pondered exactly why. Being niave in the workings of the female body despite being one, she'd have no idea for a while. Licking her chops, she looked around. She was still hungry... Rising to her paws, the black hyena sniffed about. What she smelled, though, wasn't food... Ears flattening back a bit, she looked about for the bumbling male that had, despite her dislike of males... Somehow... Ended up, in her mind, her mate. She had no idea why, though.

Meandering through the graveyard, was none other: Mabozi, fool of the year. There was commotion up ahead, and it had drawn him to this direction. It was intriguing, he rather liked it when things happened around here. His gait was upbeat, his smile humerous, and his mood positively radiant as he came across Schatz... Though he didn't exactly remember her name. Much less that in a different mind, he had in fact had quite a very... Personal encounter with the female. However, Mabozi had no memory of what his other personalities went along to when they had their time. In fact, he was oblivious to them in general.
"Why, 'allo thar!!"

The female scowled just a bit, tail swishing. "Hello, Mabozi..." Somehow, she could just tell it wasn't Mrongo. Oh how she remembered Mrongo... A shiver ran down her spine and she had to wonder just why thinking of the other personality in the male's head did that. Maybe it was the way Mrongo talked... Schatz sniffed about, finding the corpse she'd ripped a leg off of before. With a bit of a huff, she settled to eating off it, eyeing Mabozi.

Mabozi smiled sweetly at, what he considered, his friend. She didn't look all too happy with anything, but then again, no one around here ever did. Beaming brightly, he wagged his tail as she acknowledged him,
"HI!! Whacha go's thar?"
Mabozi tilted his head upward, his huge, wet nose sniffing intently. Boy oh boy did that smell good. He half circled around Schatz and her carcass slowly, watching her eat listfully, perhaps even being pathetic enough for some scraps.

The bone-marked female watched Mabozi, tempted to chase him off. But indeed, he looked pathetic. Grunting a bit, she shifted to the side. "You want some?" It was as close as she'd ever been to civile to a male hyena. More than likely, somewhere... The underworld was freezing over and demons were having a snowball fight.

Mabozi's ears perked as Schatz spoke, his goofy grin plastered on his face. He dashed forward toward the carcass, but then stopped himself. Though it was difficult, he dragged his eyes away from the kill and up to Schatz,
"Than's a lo'! Love tha'!!"
Mabozi cooed affectionately before he finally dove into the meat. He tore into it with pearly white teeth, still gleaming due to the lack of blood they were actually exposed to. The male gulped down the meat voraciously; it suddenly occured to him that he hadn't eaten in quite some time. After a few minutes, he slowed down, looked back to Schatz as he chewed over some sinew,
"Erm... Tha's be ha'ing fun latey?"

The bone-marked female shruked just a bit. "A bit... A few tussles with lions and wild dogs, but... All in the day of a hyena." She licked her chops, finishing her portion of eating her fill. Her mind wandered back to just why she had begun to have more of an appetite than normal. She'd attributed it before to being a growing hyena, but... Something almost felt... Off. Out of boredom, she sniffed about. But there wasn't much TO smell - The carcass, bones, dirt, rocks... Mabozi... And herself. It was then that she realised, now that she paid attention to it, that her scent had... Changed. She couldn't put her paw on it, though.

Mabozi nodded, as if he knew what she was talking about. Fat chance. The only tussle he'd ever been in had been with a particularly stubborn bone that didn't want to be pulled out of the dirt. It'd been tricky, but he'd dug it out. Tearing out another chunk, he chewed almost thoughfully.
"Yah, yah, all in da day!"
He grinned in a quirky manner, jerking his head a little. He then stuck his nose back into the kill. It was a few more minutes before he was finished. Burping quietly he rose his head, looking so Schatz again,
" 'Scue me! But than's, for da foods, ermmmm..... I'm M'bozi...!"
Dark eyes moved about in a shifty manner, as he realized that he couldn't thank her properly if he didn't know what to address her by. Thinking as quickly as he could, he simply introduced himself, hoping this would cause her to do the same in exchange.

Schatz got up, tail flicking. She tilted her head, watching Mabozi. "You're welcome... I suppose..." She could see he didn't remember... How much DID his head buddy communicate with him? "I'm Schatz..." She suddenly realised something, laying her ears back. "And tell Mrongo that I think he's a father... Or you... Or... I don't know which one!" She had an apalled look on her face as she bristled, hackles up. She, Schatz... The tough, She-Girl Man Hater, was pregnant?!

Mabozi's smile widened as he nodded, glad she accepted his thanks. He squinted a little, Schatz. Surely! It was easy enough to remember, he supposed. Hopefully he wouldn't forget again.
"Righ', Scha'!"
The male's ears pinned back too, head tilting heavily in confusion. Who was Mrongo? And who was he the father of? He loved fathers! Obviously, he didn't catch the part where she said it was... him. In great enthusiasm, he perked up,
"Some one's a Da'?! Dat's grea'! I love Da's. Who be Mron...go?"

She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Mrongo is... How do I put this...? A friend you have... In your head." Sort of... She wasn't actually sure how to explain it. He had multiple personalities in one head, and they seemed unaware of one another. She let out a huff, then turned and started to leave. "And Mrongod was who I met last time. Met you physically, but not you yourself."

Mabozi pursed his lips, shaking his head lightly. What... What exactly was she talking about? He didn't want to be rude, but his dear new companion was off her rocker!
"Mmmm.... noes... No In me hea'... Tha's my frien'!!"
The male perked up, looking happily to Schatz. He was pretty sure they'd met before. Perhaps this Mrongo character was a look a like! How terribly interesting...

Schatz could only snort. "Nevermind..." She shook her head, white mane uncovering her blind eye for a moment. But just as fast, it was covered back up. Swatting a bone, she eyed Mabozi with her deep blue eye. "Anyway... My sister's waiting for me to come back... I suppose I'll see you around some time." With a flick of her bi-colored tail, she turned and walked off. How would she explain this to the alpha..?

Mabozi frowned for about two seconds, but then a smile lit up again. He wasn't able to stay in a nonhappy state for very long. He stared at her for a moment. She didn't seem to understand. She knew some Mrongo, and he didn't? He didn't know everyone, was that a crime?
"Ah, dat's ohkay. Yah, yah, I be see tha' late!"
He grinned passively as Schatz prowled off. Nothing new, a grumpy hyena. Those, those he was used to. As she dissapeared into the dust, he chuckled quietly, and then dashed off in the other direction. Maybe he'd go find some other of his friends, share with them the meal she'd left behind.
