Plot::
Nine friends comprised of five girls and four boys have been besties for as long as they can remember. One day in kindergarten, they were all assigned to sit at the same table and the rest is history. From grades one to eight the group was inseparable... no new people came in, and no people left. You could even say that they were a total clique. But when they reached high school, grade nine, it changed.
They remained tight for the few months of high school. They ate lunch together every day and although they had friends outside of their group trying to pull them away into separate cliques, they were completely loyal to each other. But that was before the car crash.
I know what you're thinking, but Corinne, the girl who was in the crash, did not pass away. But her father did. And since her parents were divorced and she was living with her father, she had move to an entirely different country so that she could live with her mother instead.
After tension from being pulled away from each other by different schedules, different friends, different lovers, this was the trigger that blew up the clique. Corrine did not hold the group together, but her departure seemed to make everybody else slowly drift apart as the group felt incomplete with somebody missing; an empty spot. And, hey, if they were able to get along okay without her, maybe they could get along with one less. And one less. Slowly each member spent more time with their new clique and less with the old. Eventually their interaction was as little as a "hi" in the hallway, then none at all.
But one summer, one of the group members (Mr Unite) found a large drawing that the group had made when they were around nine. It was rolled up in his closet, forgotten, and upon it was the scribbles of the nine friends playing together. The title: "Best Friends Forever".
He thought for some time, then picked up the phone and called the numbers of his old friends and e-mailed Corinne, asking them to stay the summer at the summer cottage that his family owned. Somehow, they all agreed, except Corinne, who was in Germany and had to decline. So it would only be the eight of them.
But before he had discovered the drawing, the boy had already promised his newer friends that they could come. So at the house it will be old friends... and a few new people. Needless to say, both sets are bothered by this. Will the old friendship remains in ruins or reappear? Will new friendship destroy or create? But what friendship is there left over? Will the old friends find that they had grown far apart and no longer like each other? Or will it be the opposite?
