Muroki saw his companions settled for a days rest, after another long four day walk in the rogue lands. They were still quite far from the desert and Kainda and others had brought more lions to join them...so while he had not planned on calling a halt for another day yet he felt they deserved it. Besides, it gave them time to meet the new comers. And him time to get a few moments alone.
He nuzzled Johari and left her in good company, had a few words with his friends and his wolf companion was still out on a mission - and so he set out alone. It was a pleasant evening, golden, with a beautiful sunset and cooling breeze. After an hour of walking and pondering their plans, he stopped a while.
Ah rest days. Even when 'resting' he ended up walking!

[sorry for taking so long to reply ^__^;;]
Tenne had found herself in a slow pace, destination as usual unknown and without a care. The white pelted female had already dined on a easy catch at a neighboring waterhole [fool of a water buck really, how could have missed her presence? No matter, she made quick work of him] and thus cleaned her pale fur soon after. There wasn't much to do come after as duties were to herself and only, no obligations and freedom abound. Which meant she wandered, wherever her legs would carry her until she deemed to fit to break for whatever reason.
Her pale orange eyes had spotted a small collection of lions in what seemed a migration, her gaze had narrowed upon sight and she found her legs carrying her as far a perimeter could muster but still keep them in range - for precaution reasons, she wasn't sure where they were going after all and they could change direction which could only result in unwanted contact. They had stopped, letting her guard rest slightly and putting her tense spirit at a little bit of ease. Until one of the males started to venture in her direction.
Crap. Her prange tuffed tail flicked violently as she watched him gain ground unaware of his decreasing distance towards her. Half of her wondered why she didn't just high tail it and run, she was quick enough she could probably get away. Perhaps curiousity. Tenne 'hmed' and just continued her watch upon him.

Naturally, it wasn't too long until Muroki sensed her, with the distance between them closing with every step. Firstly, he crossed a set of tracks and curiously sniffing them found the scent clinging to the pugmarks fresh. Then he simply casually circled to the left a little until the wind was coming his way and paused. Huh. Not far away there was a lioness, it seemed. Not too close, maybe several lengths away or so.
"Hello?" Muroki called out of curiousity, in as friendly a tone as he could muster when calling. If they were shy, he'd go back towards the clan. If violent, ditto, for no rogue would try to rush a group and he wouldn't fight for no reason. If friendly - that would be nice. They could exchange news as travelers are wont to do at the very least.

Tenne stood her ground as he caught wind of her and made his intended approach. Her eyes narrowed to slits as she angeled her head in a manner that could be viewed as snobbish but it was more of an awkward way to look upon and watch him, least her turn on her as well. She remained un-hostile and non-threatening, even with her glare and rigid posture. Caution and that still prickling curiosity determining her actions and lessening her ideas to flee. This male had come across her, in her mind, and she intended to find out his intentions as well as his groups'. It wasn't like she found this area her territory or anything, just that many lions grouped together sometimes just meant trouble and trouble was something no one wanted, especially if she was in the area.
"Hello, yourself." She replied in a sour tone, her tail giving another flick. "What brings you about these parts?" And right to the heart of the matter she went.

Not the most friendly greeting but not bad. He made sure his own stance was equally non-threatening and casual. After all he was the one who was approaching a stranger and had friends at his back. While they'd checked around a bit they could be unintentionally tresspassing.
"Just passing through the roguelands with some friends - on the way to our home. And you?"

"About the same, though minus the friends." Was her simple and to the point reply. The home part, was also a missing factor but better to not reveal too much information to a possible threat. Best to keep up the air of superiority even without much claim to anything. Tenne keep her cool orange gaze upon him as she shifted her paws and body into a more comfortable position.
"Seems like a large group to just be passing through," The white female commented after a pause having noted the numbers. Not that it was uncommon to see a small group, but with one's guard and suspicious mind running... best to check bases from relocatees - being moved because of attacks in area or otherwise - of those on a mission themselves.
But, could she really trust what he told her anywho. That was another matter.

"We're a pride in the making. Remaking rather." He explained.
"As one traveller to another, there's rumors of a group of aggressive rogue hyenas to the west, the way we've been coming. If you're going that way, be careful." Muroki offered the customary titbit of information he usually exchanged with others on their way to Somewhere. He smiled, wondering if shed have anything to offer back - last time a rogue had told them of a pair good waterhole, another of a new pridal land to avoid.

"Aa." Tenne responded simply, in a bored tone. She never had things for prides, or at least grew to dislike the idea after some time. Too many chances to be let down, betrayed. All those fake smiles, fake conversations and camp for being social and relying too much on others. It would take a strong will to get Tenne in something like that again.
Letting her eyes display an unimpressed roll, the female responded with a rather unlady-like snort as she picked up her paw to examine the tips or her digits and claws; she wasn't sure she had cleaned that area and walking always attracted dirt after all. And it was seeming to be far more interesting. "Like hyena could be that much trouble." She mumbled. Well there was that one time, but anywho. "I wasn't headed that way anyways," or now she wouldn't but she had no idea where she was going in reality, "but thanks..." She offered, not sounding very sincere.
Tenne offered nothing in return, having really nothing to even extend in fair trade. So, why even bother really trying.

"My pleasure. And actually, scavengers can be more of a pawful than you might think, sometimes..." He shrugged, his tone still pleasant, but he wasn't one for keeping dull conversations going. Muroki had even met his best friend by arguing how conversations that consisted of 'my what lovely weather we're having' were pointless. This lass didn't seem too bothered by their presence nor had anything interesting to say. Seemed pretty apathetic so far.
Got enough of that from Laini.
"Well, good travels~." He turned to stroll away, not technically rude but sort of dismissive.

Tenne could help but snort again at his next comment, her paw now just in place in the air without the attention it had been receiving just a few seconds before. "Sometimes being a key to that sentence, but more often then not they're just stupid creatures not having a inkling of an idea or thought process to let them get through the day." The white female remarked in a sour tone, how could a male like him think so highly of something so lowly.
Mobs and hunger could make anything a dangerous creature, she had to agree in some regards. "But they know their place..." She sighed, turning back to licking her paw, barely looking up to offer her own farewell. "You as well and your little group of euntrepreneurs ~"
