Gaia name:Rhea Hyuga Lion #:6 Prompt Reply: Three days. Three days is how long you've been lost in the jungle. Seperated from your friends, and hungry beyond belief, you've not chanced upon a single trail, track, or life beyond that of the vegetation or bird life you can't reach. Stomach growling, you make for the direction you know is home. Suddenly however, you see a trail of what looks to be boar, going in the opposite direction. Torn between your stomach and your want to be home, you have a tough decision to make.
Looking towards the path home and the path towards food, i close my eyes. I could head home and hopefully get food on the way, but on the other hand, there was a garuntee of food, but no garuntee of going back home. Going straight home would mean possible starvation...
Turning my head in the direction of the Boar, i smirk. It was always worth the adventure. Besides, i had senses. good senses. i could find my way back later. Boar was my only chance for survival. Besides..i hated the noise my stomach was making.
Following the hot trail of the prey, i stopped in a bush, just beside where the creature had stopped to nibble at some vegetation. Leaping out, claws outstretched, i could already feel the warm meat in my belly as i made contact...
It didn't last long, but soon enough, i left the area, heading back home..which was hard with a gorged stomach...

Gaia name: Tiger_Kisa699 Lion #: 5 Prompt: 2 Three days. Three days is how long you've been lost in the jungle. Separated from your friends, and hungry beyond belief, you've not chanced upon a single trail, track, or life beyond that of the vegetation or bird life you can't reach. Stomach growling, you make for the direction you know is home. Suddenly however, you see a trail of what looks to be boar, going in the opposite direction. Torn between your stomach and your want to be home, you have a tough decision to make.
I walked along the path. It had been so long and I had found nothing for myself let alone the pride. Three days of wandering this jungle and nothing. I couldn't believe that i had found nothing so far. One of the best hunters and trackers in the pride and i was unable to find a single thing to take down. My stomach growled loudly and I sighed heavily, walking along till i came to the path that would lead me back to the pride. I had been on the path for only a few minuets when I finally smelled something. A boar. I grinned widely and raised my head to sniff it out. I turned into the tall grass next to the path and looked around. I sniffed and headed in the direction of the boar, getting closer and closer to the source of the smell. I poke my head through the grass and see it rooting around the base of a large tree. I smirk happily and look around making sure there wasn't anything to see me before i want it to and then readied my self for the attack. I rolled my shoulders and swished my tail as I settled my feet in the dirt. Keeping my eye on the boar but waiting as it looked around for a bit while it chewed what ever it had found in the dirt to eat i waited till it stuck its nice little head back in the dirt to root about some more before i took off. Faster then the boar could blink i made it across the clearing in 5 long running strides. I pounced on the boar and pinned it, jaws about the pigs throat cutting off its air till it died.
Once dead I lay atop the large boar catching my breath and keeping an eye out for anything that might come along to steal it from me. After I caught my breath I tore into it happily. Five minuets later with starvation gone I felt better. There was enough of the large pig left where I could drag it back and feed at least two other lions. After stretching a bit I grabbed the thing in my mouth and began the long haul back to the pride to feed some other. "I hope I happen to run into someone else on the way there." I say to my self 10 minuets later as I took a break. I had about 15 more minuets till I was half way there so someone else to help me would have been strongly welcomed. Sighing i took the leg back into my mouth and began pulling it back towards the pride.

Name: Dark x Deception Lion #: 3 Prompt: Quote: "And what makes you think you're worthy to be part of our Pride?" The large, somewhat elderly Lion growled at you. For weeks now, you have been attempting to get into this Pride, noticing a particularly lovely Lion you wouldn't mind knowing more. The problem was however, that you couldn't get near them without being part of the Pride, simple as that. Having been a lone Lion for a little while now, it seemed rediculous that this be the reason you chose to join one. Taking a deep breath however, and looking up at the powerful Pride Leader, you reply... Prompt Reply: I could feel his eyes bore into me like the fangs of my kind into our prey beasts. And just like those very fangs, his hold was strong and unyielding. I would have to just try to be not stronger, but smarter... "Well, for most of my life, I've been a rogue..." I trail off, trying to find my words carefully. I heard a scoff from one of the members that had accompanied the king. It didn't seem too convincing, but as long as the King accepted it, I would be fine. Soon, I found my voice again. "Pride life has always been hard for me, since I was a cub. My mother was part of a pride that wasn't structured too well, and I've heard many stories about this life. I want to know for myself." His glare was still long and hard against my frame. "Your story seems strange...A pride that wasn't structured well? Bah! But, it has been known to happen. Tell me, what have you heard of pride life?" Oh, he was trying to see through me! But, I would not allow it. Psh, he could try all he wants, but I'm certainly not going to go down easy. "I have heard that it's like a family...once you've been accepted. You'll go through all the pains and sorrows together but you stay strong, and when you make it through, you experience the happiness and successes of a pride together. You move as a single unit, and yet you still retain your personality and your strengths. Like I said before, it's like one big extended family." "You seem to have some idea...but I'm still not sure..." I cringed slightly as he stared into my eyes. Suddenly, a voice that I have heard so many times in my idle thoughts and sudden dreams that never left. Staring over at the lion, I try to keep my mouth shut to avoid the saliva from slipping from my maw. Gods, this creature was certainly gorgeous! Her voice rang again to the King. "Excuse me, King Caenghis? As you can see, our visitor is quite tired. Why doesn't he get some sleep first, and we continue his interrogation tomorrow? I'm sure you and Advisor Giffca are tired as well...." King Caenghis nodded toward her. "Very well, young one. Take him to one of the visitor caves. Giffca, make sure that there is someone there at all times. I don't need him wandering the lands at night..." His eyes finally turned on mine. "And you! I hope you understand that you have just been saved here..." He snorted, beginning to turn. "Don't keep your hopes up." Giffca went after his master leaving me with the beauty I considered mine. She cleared her throat. "Umm...this way, umm...I'm sorry I never got your name." My smile was faint, but there as I followed her. "Please, just call me Rogue..." She gave me a look. "I know, peculiar name, but it's the only one I've known form most of my life. It just stuck." My tail waved behind me as I tried to hide the happiness welling within my chest. "Well, Rogue," She gave a gentle laugh. "I hope you enjoy your sleep." She slipped away just before another male came to intercept me away from her. The much bigger male took me to my "cell". Giving one last look behind my shoulder, I notice her wave at me before finally going toward the main center of her pride. As I stepped into the cave and made myself comfortable for the night, nothing seemed to bother me anymore. I was in the pride, for the most part. I'd just have to be fully accepted, and then everything would be smooth sailing from then on. The prey beast had escaped the clutches of demise and doom...for now.

I don't really like the way I did this. It's like a forum intro! -brick'd- XD Oh well. I think it's suiting to the little white Lion. ...or big white lion. Since lions are pretty big. -superbrick'd- "And what makes you think you're worthy to be part of our Pride?" The large, somewhat elderly Lion growled at you. "...I don't know." The grand beast that stood before him just grunted, turning away, the others starting to follow as well. Looking quickly through the tan and brown tones of this strangely bland pack, he picked out one gorgeous tawny She-and despite all that'd happened to him, he smiled. I did all this for her, He thought, collapsing where he stood in exasperation at himself. I did all this for that little lioness. Though she hadn't come into his picture until much later. At least 'observing'-or as some might critique it, 'stalking'-gave him something better to do with his time than irritate the wildabeest and get himself trampled...again. He glanced back at his hindpaw- still crooked, though no longer bleeding. Fools wouldn't survive out here-but he knew nothing but being a fool. Most lions would have been taught better-as cubs, their elders would demonstrate to them the proper way to hunt, to fight, to scout...even to stand, with the dominance of a King in your stature (A teaching left to Pride Kings and fathers alone). But that would require having a pride, then, wouldn't it? The strange yearling chuckled to himself, brushing away the long bits of mane from his face for the umpteenth time. "Aww jeez...." The mist was already starting to roll in, clouding the savannah and masking the fiery sunset in a filmy haze. The sound of the birds, singing-or screeching, in some cases-at the end of the day irritated him, as always. If he could reach them, he'd shut them up. ...that is, if he knew how. This white lion was no more than a cub-and he'd been a much smaller cub when he was rejected from his father's pride. A white lion, in his home, spelled danger-so his mother was killed...and he hadn't even been bothered with. It wasn't a terrible life, living on his own-just a confused one. Anyone watching him from the sidelines would have to hold in laughter at his awkward hunting skill, and laugh at the way he let the grazers and the wilddogs push him around at the watering hole. But he survived on his own, nonetheless-which gave him far more integrity than the lions who could only live banded together. In this mindset, he'd decided not to join a pride at all. What was the use of being in a pride? You'd have to work harder-to feed all the mouths, to keep others out of your terra, to babysit the cubs; it goes without saying how boring it would be to spend your life sitting there while the lionesses went out to hunt, and all you'd be left with is some obnoxious kittens and a few old codgers who talk about their 'fighting days' (whether they had any at all was debatable). Not to mention, he, being a white lion with a black mane, would endure the same ridicule as he'd always had. No thanks, he grumbled to himself, standing and continuing on through the lavender and orange landscape. "Stay off our lands," The King had said to him on more than one occasion. Then he would scowl and grunt and lead the pride away, the beautiful she-lion following him. That beautiful she-lion was the only reason he would have ever in a million rainy seasons joined a pack. It was for the lioness who'd stolen his heart that he riled up all this trouble-and it was for that lioness still that he trudged on, down but not out. "Okay. Let's see..." He put his ears down, tail and belly just centimeters above the dirt as he prowled through the tall brush. Three lonely gazelles stood grazing-two does and a young one. He hated going after the young ones for three reasons: they were just too adorable to eat, it was a bad habit to 'pick on the pups' (something a wilddog had once taught him), and the fact that there were nearly always adults-bucks especially-around to boot him if he tried for one. But in this case, he could go after the doe-and the only one there to do anything about it would be the calf. And as everyone knows, calves are all but helpless-yet another reason not to prey on them. He rose slightly, fur on end, and did as he'd seen the dogs do-push their ears forward, open his mouth, and whip his tail excitedly behind him. And now it was strange to see a lion spring from the bushes like a puppy and start sprinting after a speedy gazelle-but he'd never been allowed close enough to other lions to watch them hunt. "No!" He yelped, watching one doe and the calf speed quickly out of his reach. The scrawnier gazelle, however, remained within his grasp, for his first leap had left it with an all but useless leg. He nearly always felt remorseful for killing anything-but his hunger brought instinct, and instinct ruled his odd mind. The white lion sighed, patting back down the dirt he'd dug up, covering the bones of his most recent meal, and turned back towards the dark mountains, trying to think of a good reason to become part of the pride.

Gaia name: Synthetic Memories (could Tangled Puppet be put on the cert...you know me from Buttercat Woods) Lion #: 1 Prompt Reply:Quote: Three days. I keep my nose to the ground, searching...searching, wondering which way's home and which way will lead me further into the jungle. I jump a little as the rumbling of my tummy ripples through the quite of the jungle. "Strange...it's like nothing's around. I need food." I think to myself as a small moan escapes my lips.
Suddenly I come across a small, worn trail. The scent of boar is strong on the ground and in the air. I sigh as I realize the path is intersecting the direction of which I'm going in. "This is just not my day..." I mumble aloud. I war about what to do in my mind. "On one hand I could continue home and suffer through the hunger pains creeping deep in my stomach or I can search for that elusive boar, which smells all too yummy." I sit down on the soft dirt as I contemplate what I had just said outloud to no one but myself.
Eventually my stomach won. I smirked as I rose up and sniffed the ground. The scent was starting to get cold. "Darn my slow thinking." I go off in the direction that the scent is strongest. Slowly, I make my way to a small clearing. The scent ends here. Looking around I see nothing in sight. Just as I was about to turn around and retrace my steps a sound catches my ears and makes them twitch.
Snort snort.
I hear a snuffling type sound near the bushes on the other side of the clearing. Taking a more careful look I see that the boar is munching on something, oblivious to it's new found enemy. I lick my lips as I slowly make my way around to the other side of the clearing, using the bushes around me as cover. As I get closer to the boar I hear a loud crack as I step on a branch. Muttering to myself I look up at the boar and see that it's ears are perked up and it is about to run away. "Oh no you don't!" I exclaim loudly as I foolishly jump out of the bushes.
The boar squeaks as it's nearly scared out of it's skin. I take off running after the small animal as it starts to snort and run around the field. The chase lasts for only a few seconds as I leap on the boar and sink my claws into the warm flesh. The squealing stops and I smile to myself.
.....half hour later.
I lay on my back and smile up at the sky. Home can wait for a little bit longer. My stomach is bulging with the yummy boar. Slowly my eyes close and I fall asleep. I dream about what my fellow lions are doing at home and what they'll say when I return.

Gaia name: The sashie Lion #: (Dunno if we were supposed to list D: ) 3, 1, 6, 5, 4, 2 Prompt Reply: "And what makes you think you're worthy to be part of our Pride?" The large, somewhat elderly Lion growled at you. For weeks now, you have been attempting to get into this Pride, noticing a particularly lovely Lion you wouldn't mind knowing more. The problem was however, that you couldn't get near them without being part of the Pride, simple as that. Having been a lone Lion for a little while now, it seemed ridiculous that this be the reason you chose to join one. Taking a deep breath however, and looking up at the powerful Pride Leader, you reply... (blue text=the other lion :3)
With one eyebrow arched and a swav smile planted onto my face, I felt surprisingly calm. Like the world was dancing in circles around me, letting me have a few more moments to think. Had gramps not restated his question a second time, I might have faded off into myself for good.
"Well? His voice sinking to the deepest tone he could manage without coughing. I could tell, from the way he lowered his head and fought to cling onto the air left in his throat after the sudden shift. Another long moment passed, the world began to dance, but I pulled back this time all by myself.
"Did it ever occur to you that another strong male in your pride would be good? From the looks of you’re limp and age lines, you’re bucket is tipping." For a moment, I was ecstatic. My answer had been both true, and sneaky. And with her eyes wavering around the edge of the group of lions that had gathered, I felt unusually strong under her gaze. I let my eyes skim over the curios crowd to meet hers, I felt my legs melt for a moment, but his cracked voice brought me back to attention.
"What's the matter hot shot? Don'tcha know my eyes tend to be on my face? Looks like your bucket may be tipping to." From his devious smirk I knew instantly he was sucking in the glory of the win, taking a moment to enjoy the powerful feeling that came with such a comeback.
"Oh, so you don't except lions with only a few branches left to climb till the tree top of life I see. Maybe you should be escorted out with me, hotshot" I hissed in a mocking tone, teeth and all barred for the confused crowd as they watched a rouge and their leader face off in words. I had no doubt it was a bit uncalled for, but didn't think much off it. That was until I turned to smile at her again, only to see her face whiten like a spirit and feel a heavy set of paws heave onto my chest.
"Get out of my pride, get out of my land. And if you’re a lucky boy, I won't have my gauds help you to the tree tops before me." He leaped back, but not before swiping a painful blow to my face, then another to my side before allowing a few guards to finish me up. I was ashamed. Not only that, I was surprised. Of all lions you would expect a pride leader to have a witty tongue, or maybe he was getting too old for childish games such as faces offs in word. A long sigh escaped my mouth, my chest heaving. There was no way I could go back to see her now, but if I remembered correctly a pride full of young females sat just beyond a cliff a few miles from here. There are plenty of fish in the sea for me.

Name: River of Sand Lion #: 2 Prompt: Quote: "And what makes you think you're worthy to be part of our Pride?" The large, somewhat elderly Lion growled at you. Prompt Responce: "I....uh...." Taerli paused, his gaze passing over that female again, "I can prove myself." He finally replied, his orange mane gleaming. With a grunt the elderly Lion steped forward. "By doing what?" "Well...I...." Tae paused again, looking down at his paws. "I can fight, hunt, and such." Another grunt, the Lion took another step forward. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Grywelf. You may not call me Gry. Understood? If you wish to join this Pride you will have to go out and hunt all day. If you can return with enough food to feed all of the ladies, you can stay. If not you will have to fight to join." Tae looked bravely into Grywelf's eyes. "I understand. Just to let you know, I am Taerli." He galced around, there were a lot of ladies in this Pride. Still! He could not let his fear get the better of him. Silently Tae ran off into the distance, ready for the hunt.
After a while of serching and hunting Tae had nothing to show for it. Angrilly he stopped for a drink at a small puddle of water. He raised his head, orange mane dripping slightly, and noticed something out on the hill. A zebra......
"Perfect!" Tae said to himself, ready for the hunt. His paw itched slithtly as he took a round-about way to the hills. He already knew his plan. He would get behind his prey and chase it over to the puddle he was just drinking from, the mud around the puddle would temporarily slow it down. But would it be enough?
Quickly he set his plan into action. With a defening roar Tae launched himself forward, aiming for the Zebra's throat. He missed, perfect.... His prey began to streak forward blindly, Tae right on it's tail. Finally they were in the mud. Tae stretched out his claws and steped lightly, not loosing a beat. Suddenly his prey's hoof was caught in the mud, an easy catch.
Back at the Pride Tae smiled warmly at that female again. He dropped down his prey and pushed it towards the elderly lion. He was finally accepted and he was loving it.

Name: xPantherx Lion #:4 Prompt: Lying down under one of the grasslands few trees, you stretch lazily and roll to your side. The summer sun beating down made it one of those days you just didn't want to do anything on. The rest of the pride was out looking for food, as you were supposed to be doing as well. Happening across this tree however, you couldn't help but rest. All seems to be going great until you hear the snap of a twig behind you. Twirling around, ears laid back, a dark shadow blocks the sun from your eyes. Temporarily blinded, you ruffle your hair a little more to this stranger.
I had been hunting of course, no one can deny me that fact, but when I stumbled upon the tree I just had to lie down. No one could call me lazy for just a minute's rest, right? Rolling around happily in the shade, I couldn't resist purring slightly. This was the life! Relaxing under a tree while the rest of the pride worked their butts off for some know-it-all king! They always think they can tie me down but no sir not m-
The sound of a twig snappy interrupted me mid-thought, flipping around I lost my balance and stumbled a few steps. Still I managed to let out a semi-menacing hiss, ears laid back, and teeth bared for all of my stumbling. Augh! Why couldn't I see who it was! Stupid sun! If this person wants to fight I'll show them what I know! I'll drive them off my land! I'll-! Oh no... The other lion had moved out of the light and I could make out the distinct markings and facial expression on his face...
"King Zalen! W-what a pleasant surprise!" I stuttered nervously. I was so dead! "I didn't think you would be out here! I was merely, umm... Resting for a moment! I had though I had seen some prey up ahead and wanted to make sure!" Eww... That look can't be good.... Zalen's face had gone from passive anger, to say one more thing and I'm about to snap.
"Anele..." he began, his voice giving away his controlled rage. "This is one of the last straws. You have been neglecting your duties to the Pride ever since you gained her rank! You to have to work for your place in the Pride just like everyone else! Not goof off under some tree!" I could hear the anger continue to build in his voice, why was I one of the few able to trigger his legendary temper? "I can't keep dealing with you and your problems! Ever since you were old enough to walk you have been dragging us down!"
I stood completely still. This was not suppose to be happening! How could he blame me for all of this! I have never dragged the Pride down! True I had some lousy work ethics, but I did get the job done in the end. He wouldn't dare do it!
"I have had enough!" he roared again. "Anele I want you off my land by sun down! Go take yourself and your problems to some other pride!" He turned and began to stalk off, his ominous growl still emanating from his throat.
"You can't do that!" I shrieked. "I haven't done anything wrong!" That was enough to make him snap. He whirled on me getting my across my face. Letting out another shriek I turned and fled. Curse him! I would get my revenge for that! Him and his damn Pride!
By sundown I was off his land and exiled from the Pride I had known for all of my life.

Gaia name: dragonfire_kaen Lion #: 4 Prompt Reply:
Quote: Lying down under one of the grasslands few trees, you stretch lazily and roll to your side. A nice day like this was wasted on hunting. I yawned luxuriously from underneath the tree I had found for a refuge. There was a herd of antelope off in the distance, and I had no doubt my pride-mates were there too, dutifully providing for our group. Like that was going to happen; I couldn't help a quiet chuckle, looking up through the overhanging branches at the dusty blue of a cloudless sky. It really was a complete waste, to be running and panting and working above all, with this tree just waiting for someone to come sit under it. Besides, we couldn't have anyone getting heatstroke on such a hot day, could we?
Brush crackled behind me softly, and I whirled around fast as a snake, ears flattened and tension in every muscle. The late afternoon sun directly in my eyes made it hard to see, but I could just make out the silhouette of another lion. I relaxed somewhat, letting all traces of wariness flow from my frame and dropping my head back onto my paws. "Go 'way," I muttered. "You're blocking my light." I watched the shape through half-closed eyes, pretending to be asleep. Actually, the sunlight filtering through the branches above did feel wonderful on my coat, just at the point of being unbearably warm...
"You're boring." My eyes snapped all the way open again. The voice was female, but more than that it was... The lion stepped slightly sideways as she moved forward, out of the direct light, and I could suddenly see that it was no more than a half-grown she-cub! "I've been watching you for forever now, and all you've done is sit there. Don't you do anything?"
"I am trying to sleep," I growled, glaring at the impudent little cub. "What am I supposed to be doing, hm?"
"Oh, that's not a very good idea," she chided with annoying superiority, glancing dismissively at my tree cover. "Bai Shan says you can get heatstroke if you're out in the heat of the day too long. Anyway, I'm Hibana. And you could be playing a game with me."
I rolled my eyes, already settling back into my usual response of amused condescension. "Welllll now," I drawled, elongating the word until it seemed to slide through the air like a circling kite. "Why in the world would I want to play some silly little game with you?"
"Um... Because it's fun?" The she-cub said, obviously unable to get her little head around the concept that someone might not want to play with her. "And s'not silly! We could play tag! Like this." She darted in, flicked me lightly across the flank with the tip of her tail, and darted back out again, clearly expecting me to chase her. When I just stared at her, eyes half-lidded in apparent boredom at the whole thing, she sighed in exasperation. "Come on. Don't you want to have a little fun once in a while?"
Fun? Fun was sitting right here, with the sun warming my back and the rest of the pride off being industrious. But maybe... if I gave in just for a bit, she'd leave me alone and go terrorize some other unsuspecting creature. I sighed loudly, just so the idiot cub would know I wasn't doing this willingly, then in an instant I was up and after her, darting from left to right like a sinuously weaving snake and growling all the while. Her excited shrieks ran through the air.
The chase was on!
