[Kudzu] Why can't you go to school anymore? Because I can't emotionally handle it anymore. I get freaked over the dumbest things, and it's not like I can just walk away. (Though I did it to a teammate on one project once. However, I did apologize.) This is what I get for keeping things secret, and hating shrinks...

Well, I'm glad you're going to be able to continue your studies independantly. Perhaps later you'll be able to learn ways to cope with going to school.

Wow... Not fun.
I had to be out for two weeks, and see a shrink twice a week for a while. I'll save the reason why for some other time... Frankly, whenever I talk about it, I just come off as a pathetic, angsty, self-pitying s**t. lol

Let me put it this way. I've been home schooled before, and going through the Center for Distance Learning and Independent Study is a completely different system, so I don't consider it home schooling. After all it is provided by the University of Missouri and has a lot different aspects to it. I hate home schooling, to me there's a big difference.

I dropped out of two studies. One because of the hostile place my school had become in the aftermath after September 11.. The other because I have never recovered from the mental beating September 11 caused.
And try explaining that to a psychologist... it's like talking to a FREAKING BRICK WALL! stressed

I had to withdraw from school because of mental issues...ended up having a home tutor, which was good. Learnt so much more than I would have otherwise. Though the whole not seeing friends factor really got me down.

I left my main school to go to a transitional school, and it's done some good, though I've been absent quite alot from stress. Being picked on is not fun.

i do independent study too... but it's because of health issues. that must suck to have to be like "yeah i don't go to school because i couldn't handle it emotionally..." (which would lead to a whole lot of questions or at least curiosity on other people's part. for me it's more like... i'm too sick to go to school... and somehow it's easy to blow off questions because of that...? nvm

I'm in IEP classes to help that. Before I was medicated as heavily as I am now they were going to send me to this school that lasts half a school day and is at a psych hospital. I'm not sure about the whole school situation concerning mental illness, it's a big confusing
