Because at one point in time, one tribe of people decided to play a trick on their neighbors and hauled one really huge boulder on to a couple other really big boulders and made a circle-ish shape around their neighboring village so when that group of people woke up they all went WTF? And then a foreign civilization came on a tourism mission and saw this mid-blowing circle of rocks and thought, well maybe this thing is like, really cool, and so naturally they built one and it became a trend between the civilizations, and centuries later some people who thought they were smart took a look at the stone circles and came up with the real question: Why in the Hell would people ever consider making this pile of rocks?
And of course, all the other villages got tired of the trend, and shifted their attention to a new one and tore down their groups of stones because it was no longer 'In'
There, Howzzat?
