[Manifestation]Shade manifests herself as a vaguely feminine shadow with eyes that are darker than darkness, glowing with negatively light (the light found on the other side of darkness, not merely a lack of light).
[Bond]Shade claims to be Sorce's dark side, but Sorce has his doubts. For one, she possesses a near constant cheerfulness and optimistic outlook. She likes to cheer him on and point out the good side of any situation, whether or not he wants to know. Sorce privately believes that she came into being from one too many nights of research while on pizza, four liters of coke and grumbling at unhelpful research results.
[Glyph]a seemingly black pearl pendant that is actually pure solidified mana. It manifested at the same time as Sorce's first sync with Shade.
[Sync]Is covered pure pure darkness, with eyes that glow with negative light. wisps of darkness hang and drip from his limbs, and his hair waves up like black fire. Fingertips become clawlike, and movements become spastic and slightly unpredictable. The from randomly shifts into more solid constructs, before atrophying black to the base form.
[Exalted Forms]
{Black Knight}-attained in a duel with the Black Maester (in the Maester's words, to get him to "SYNC DAMN IT, EVEN IF IT KILLS YOU!!!"), this was Sorce's first successful Sync. The darkness was taken the form of black plate armor with streamers. It's defensive capabilities are very high, but it moves slowly. The arms can shape-shift into melee weapons like lances, morningstars, swords, etc.
{Dark Saber}-attained during a hazing attempt (read:attempted assassination) by several non-BLack Lotus Leaguers on Sorce. Because of a Personic Affinity spell that had struck him earlier, Sorce had been out of it, and thus, Shade had been dominant during their desperate attempt to Sync to Black Knight. Because of the energies involved as well as general bad luck on Sorce's part, Shade had (gleefully) found herself in control of the Sync form. Dark Saber is lightly armored, but extremely fast and highly maneuverable. This form is capable of extreme acrobatics and can jump very high, making it well suited to Shade's personality. It is armed with the Darkaladbolg, a sword whose edge is so sharp it can atoms, light, space and reality itself. Quite unfortunately for Sorce, it turns out that when they Sync into this form, Shade is the one in control. Hence, she's always pestering him to turn into using it.

[Darkness]-Eternal Darkness:an extremely powerful and ridiculously long to cast spell that hits the target with an explosion of darkness which not only causes massive damage, but also slightly drains mana from the target to feed to the caster, as well as disrupting the flow of their mana such that it makes casting magic painful for a time after getting hit. After casting, Sorce will be left exhausted and near unconsciousness(slightly energy too)
[Energy]-Energy Jammer: A wave that completely disrupts all energies in the surrounding area. This includes, but is not limited to: mana, gravity, electricity including the ones inside the neurons that transmit thought and orders to the body, light, heat, etc. To be used at the caster's own risk...
[Reality]-Reality Space Warp: a wave that seems to 'ripple' space as it passes, causing damage as it does.
[Reality]-Alter-verse: temporarily changes reality to suit his needs. One could find an academy hall suddenly turned into a rendition Joutenheim...
[Glamer]Sorce seems to be in shadow whenever he cast magic, the stronger the spell, the deeper the shadow. When he moves, there will be shadowy afterimages.
-4- Final Touches
[Physical Description]Black hair and dark-brown eyes (which is so dark it often looks black), average height, fair skin and a very slight build (has been mistaken for a girl several times when seen from the wrong angle).
[Personality]Is very sensitive about his looks and very touchy about being called 'bishounen'. Is usually quiet and unassuming, unless referred to by the 'b'-word. So much so that he tends to blend into the background. As such, he can listen in on other people without them realizing it, meaning he has dirt on nearly anyone. People find him slightly creepy, even though he's a very warm person once you get to know him. Beneath the face is a calculating mind that thinks like a quantum processor. He's not very well-suited for physical violence, but when pushed will fight very dirty, going for the groin, throat, and hitting anywhere and using anything that'll hurt. Thinks the way to use a sword is to 'stick the pointy end into the other guy'. He is a devious individual, and has been known to do things of questionable morality
[History]Sorce is an Atlantean, a member of the renown Mahora Academy who was known for his extensive research into the nature of reality and his habit of talking, arguing, screaming at, and ignoring himself (he claims this is actually some 'other person'). Historically, he is the youngest person to ever secure a tenured position in the history of the Academy. This did not make him popular with his older colleagues, many of whom had been fighting each other tooth and nail for such a position even before he was born. In an unprecedented move, the other professors and researchers decided to united to "put the young upstart in his place". This led to an extensive clandestine war. Many pointed memos and cutting comments were cast. It is a mark of Sorce's intellect that he managed to stay ahead of an entire school's intellectual elite in a pissing and character sabotage contest.
Finally, however, came a challenge he was unable to counter. Asgard Academy sent Atlantis a message saying that as a gesture of good will, they would be accepting a person to join their ranks. Many schools in Atlantis sent their best and brightest at this request, hoping to prove they were the best. Mahora Academy, at the near-unanimous vote of it's faculty, sent Sorce.
The joke's on them, though. He was still a tenured professor...
Sorce immediately became at home in the political whirlwind that was Asgard Academy, quickly distinguishing himself as an expert eavesdropper, backstabber, and information collector. He was eventually noticed by the Maester of Black Lotus, who became his mentor. He took to the magical arts like a fire to gasoline, and thanks to the favor of his mentor and his own abilities, quickly rose to the rank of Left Flank, where he uses his savvy to ensure that Black Lotus is in the lead when it came to office supplies, magic components, and gorgeous female students. This has natural garnered him the ire and, in rare instances, the grudging respect of the other leagues. Though he dreams of rising to become the Maester of Black Lotus, he's in no hurry. He doesn't want to deal with all that paperwork...

[Additional Info]For defensive purposes, he carries a rapier at his belt, while various explosive potions are hidden about his person.
