 Mable sniffed the air, the faint scent of lions wafted into her flared nose. She knew there were others close by. Maybe even a pride. She smiled wide at the thought and wondered if they'd accept her. She looked around at her surroundings. Seeing nothing but trees she sighed. Mable had been lost in the same forest for a day or two. She kicked at a random rock with her paw and began to walk again. She headed in the opposite direction of the wind carrying the other lions' scents. Hopefully she would find some signs of life other than a meal.

Having finally gotten away for a few moments, Nadine basked in the woods around their new home. It was so nice to have that sense of security. Especially what with the little ones on the way, no matter how far off that may be. Padding along, Nadine was hopeful to pick up the scent of some animals, or perhaps find something interesting. She'd not really thought about it too much when she snuck off from the rest of the Pride for a little private time.
Completely unaware of the lioness approaching her due to the wind, Nadine was startled to look up and see a lion, standing in full view of her off in the distance. It had been the first lion they'd seen the whole time they'd been at the dens, and she had previously thought this place a well kept secret. Stopping to stare, she waited to see what would happen next.

Mable's ears twitched as she caught a faint sound of movement. Looking around, she squinted as she spied a dark blur int the distance. Was it another lion? She rose an eyebrow as she moved forward. She kept her pace low and her ears laid back against her head. She didn't want to seem like a threat to the other lion. As she got closer she realized she was headed towards another lioness. Her breath caught in her throat. Her nerves were getting to her. "H-hello." She managed to choke out of her tight throat.

Smiling at the lioness as she approached, Nadine helped cover the distance till they were within speaking range. The meek 'hello' out of the other lioness caught her by surprise, as most lone lions tended to opt for toughness.
"Hello. I didn't think there were any other Lions in the area. Have you lived here long?" Nadine inquired, licking her paw absently to try and ease the mood of the lioness before her.

Mable hiccuped randomly. She hadn't expected the lioness to be so friendly. "I..don't live here." She squeaked. "I'm actually lost. I was living in the plains...but the sun was always just so hot." She huffed out a deep breath. "I got lost in the forest." She rolled her eyes at her stupidness. "My name's Mable." She said quietly as she smiled a small smile at the other lioness.

Nadine grinned. "We just moved here from the plains a few weeks ago. My Pride that is. We had been hoping to add to our ranks, and thought we'd have to go back out there to do it but perhaps not..." She said slyly. Looking the lioness up and down, she grinned. "I'm Nadine. Co-leader of Artyum Pride. We are a peaceful pride, and we could certainly teach you how not to get lost in the forest." Thinking for a second however, Nadine shook her head and laughed. "Or at the very least we could show you around our little area. We've still not sent many people out exploring. I'd go myself, but Zahina knows when i'd get back, and with a liter on the way i'd rather stick to our caves."
Feeling as if she were speaking too much, Nadine paused and looked at the Lioness. "I guess what i mean to say is, if you'd like to stop being lost, we could help with that."

Mable's ears perked up at the mention of a pride. What she'd been looking for for so long. Could her search finally be over? This Nadine seemed to be nice...so that must mean the rest of the pride was nice as well. She thought about it for a little bit, wondering what the other members of the pride were really like. Slowly, she nodded her head. "I'd like that. Being a part of your pride that is." She looked around her, as if something was going to pop out and surprise her. "D-do I have to do anything special to join?"

Grinning, Nadine couldn't help but give a little giggle. Giving the lioness a look, Nadine made a big fuss about looking her up and down. Circling her, she came back to a halt right in front of the bluish lion. With a stern look for a second she wanted to take the joke farther until she cracked up. "You don't have to do anything special to join! I mean, just follow basic rules like no killing each other and what not and we'll get along fine." Grinning, she tossed her head back toward the Dens. "How's about we go and introduce you now?" And without waiting for a reply, Nadine took off, hoping Mable close at her heels.
