I know that some people don't like to pollute their game with hacks, & that's fine & dandy.
However, I've found a hack that will make gameplay easier for BV owners.
I swear to you it will not break your game.

From the list that comes up, download the antiredundancy.zip file.
It's about 7th or 8th on the list.

If you don't trust the list, download it directly from the forum.

Unzip the file by right-clicking & choosing Open or Unzip from the list.
Move the unzipped file into your downloads folder.
For most of you it will be at: C biggrin ocuments and SettingsOwnerMy DocumentsEA GamesThe Sims 2Downloads

This hack prevents the game from spawning new Tour Guides & Charlatans.
It also prevents the spawning of new baristas/bartenders/cashiers
& allows you to equally access any of the available NPCs instead of just the first one in the list.

Only download if you have BV.
Only download if you have BV.
Only download if you have BV.

Download all patches for BV.
They are still important, as they also fix things this hack does not.
