Typhoon buried his claws in something squirming, along with a bit of moss, and with a few large beats of his wings, he carried it up into a nearby tree. He gripped it firmly with his claws until it stopped moving, shifting his claws now and then to break through the muscles of the mouse.
He hooted quietly to Silk, holding the mouse out with one claw as an offering of friendship. While the Ghost Sentinel was hungry, this was Silk's territory, and being around fledglings constantly made him acutely aware of others' hunger. And he also thought maybe the other Sentinel spent a bit too much time staring at his wonderfully dyed feathers and forgetting to hunt. Just perhaps.

Silk Gleefully flew over at the friendly gesture from Typhoon. Enthusiastically he took the mouse from his outstretched claw. With quick and precise snaps of his beak, he tore the mouse in half. Offering one half to Typhoon, Silk quickly gulped the other half of the mouse down.
"Thank you, very kind to me you are." Silk said after swallowing the delicious mouse. He clicked his beak and began to hum as he cleaned his claws of the leftover scraps. Once satisfied that his talons were back in order he stretched his wings; sheepishly Silk confided to Typhoon, "Sometimes forget to go hunting I do. Time flies by when I sing; the sun is rising before I know it."
Still feeling ravenous he began to scan the forest for possible prey. Out of the corner of his eyes Silk caught some movement in the nearby tree. A squirrel perhaps?, he thought. With excited anticipation of possibly feasting on his favorite meal he swooped in the direction he saw the movement.

Typhoon smiled, taking the half of the mouse offered and down his throat it went. Stretching his neck, he felt the mouse move down into his stomach. It made for a very content feeling, to have prey in one's belly.
"Not a problem," the Ghost Minder replied. "With the hatchlings usually at the Enclave, I hardly have time to hunt. I've always enjoyed fresh prey over the prey at the drop off, but you take what you can get when there are young mouths to feed."
He watched Silk move off to where he assumed the Sentinel had seen something moving, and used his beak to make sure his claws were free of blood and fur bits. Moving his head around to see if he could track any more movement that revealed prey, he did his best to stay quiet so Silk had a good chance of catching whatever had grabbed his eye.

With deadly precision Silk felt his claws make contact with soft fur and heard the sharp squeal of surprise and pain. Quickly he dealt the finishing strike. Feeling satisfaction well up inside he couldn't believe his luck tonight! It had been such a long time since he had squirrel. They had been so hard to find as of late. He mused that it probably was a repercussion of the storm. Looking down he noticed the animal was also fairly large and obviously had been eating very well.
"Come friend!" Silk called to Typhoon. "Found a feast I have, let us share the delicious meat."
