Now that Danjo mentioned it, Koji wasn't sure what he had been doing out there at all. "I was just out taking a walk." He said to Danjo, frowning in concentration. At least I think I was. In any event, he supposed it didn't matter too much. He was here now, and nothing could change that.
At the mention of food, Koji's stomach grumbled. He looked at Danjo a little sheepishly. "I guess I'm pretty hungry myself."

"Oh? Did you manage to have a good walk before you took a tumble off the cliff?" Danjo questioned back. You'd think one would pay more attention to where they were stepping if they were only taking a walk.
After hearing Koji's stomach rumble Danjo couldn't do anything but laugh. "Almost dying could do that to someone." he mentioned after his few chuckles. He didn't mean to be laughing at Koji for being hungry he just thought the overall situation funny. Almost falling off a cliff to your possible death making your hungry in the end was an entertaining thought to Danjo. "You should find something to eat then. What do you favor? Meat or berries?"
Talking about food reminded Danjo that he hadn't eaten either. "Mmmm.."

Koji laughed at himself. He supposed he must sound very strange... going for walks over cliffs, having to be saved, and then saying he was hungry. Danjo was nice though, so he didn't mind.
"I like both, but I prefer meat. I'm a terrible hunter, so I usually end up having to eat berries, unless I feel like fishing." He hoped Danjo was a good hunter... and liked meat. It had been awhile since he'd had any fresh meat.

Danjo smiled as Koji laughed. He figured Koji found the humor in it all and was glad it wasn't only him who was laughing. "Aah. I prefer meat myself." He nodded, "Though your other choices of food are quite tasty as well. Sometimes one needs a good fish to make them happy or a good pile of berries."
Danjo's goal was to hint that it's ok that Koji's hunting skills weren't the greatest but figured he'd just bluntly say it. "I'm sure you're not that terrible of a hunter. Even if you are that's ok. There are plenty of other delicious foods out there other than meat."
Turning his attention away from Koji he looked at the woods. It was safe to say it was night and alot of prey would be sleeping at this time. If you wanted to hunt for a meal but weren't that good, now is a good time to try. Though, you'd need to be able to see well at night. Danjo started up again, "Hey. Why not try hunting at night? I'm probably going to hunt for food anyway, so why not join me and try your hand at night hunting?"

Hunting at night? Koji hadn't ever even thought about that. It sounded like it might be a good idea! "That sounds great!" He said enthusiastically. He was glad Danjo invited him along; now he might finally get some tips or criticisms that he needed. His parents hadn't really abandoned him when he was younger, bu he hadn't had the right kind of training.
Smiling at the other Ulaya Koji asked, "So when do we start?" His whole body was abuzz with excitement. He hoped it wouldn't ruin anything during the hunt.

Danjo laughed after hearing Koji's enthusiastic reply. "Haha yeah~" During this point in time Danjo wouldn't mind the company. A hunting partner would be kind of fun or atleast interesting.
He looked up at the sky after the question was answered. "I'd say it's dark enough. So we can head out now if you're ready." What a silly response back. Of course Koji was ready. Just by being near him one could tell he was excited.
"We can start in that section of the forest." Danjo stated as he pointed a bit to the left of where Koji had his tumble on the hill. "I'll let you lead. This can be your hunt in which I will follow and help you out when you're having trouble." He was glad that he may be able to someone.

"Sounds good to me!" Koji said, starting eagerly towards the forest. There was a small limp to his gait, but nothing that would hinder him much. Even though the air had turned cooler since the sun had gone down, it felt even chillier when he stepped into the shadows the trees cast.
He had a hard time seeing where he was going, so he figured he would wait a little while for his eyes to adjust. Looking slightly behind him to make sure Danjo was there, he nodded silently and then moved on.
Sniffing the air with the hope of finding the scent of something tasty, Koji had no luck. What were you supposed to do about finding dinner when it was hiding somewhere asleep?

"Glad to hear that!" Danjo replied as he watched Koji walk off. He had completely forgotten that he injured him prior to this hunt. He was going to say something but figured Koji was having too much fun or wouldn't not go on the hunt just because of his leg.
Danjo trotted behind Koji watching both him and their surroundings. At first it was a bit difficult to see him cause his coat was relatively dark and blending in with the time of night and shadows. But once Danjo's eyes adjusted all was fine. He nodded in response as Koji nodded to him.
Picking up the pace Danjo trotted up next to Koji. He noticed that he attempted to catch the scent of an animal earlier. "Don't worry about not finding something right away. It is night after all. You'll find something soon enough."

"Well, since i'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing, why don't you lead the way?" Koji said, looking at Danjo hopefully. He wanted to learn how to hunt, but not having any idea where to start was quite a hindrance.
