It is the year 2503. Vampires rule the world now, mostly with an iron fist. Every country is now controlled by them. All humans and half-breeds have been reduced to peasants and sometimes even cattle.

This all started 364 years ago. Vampires were already living amongst men, but they had to keep it to the night. Their sensitivity to sunlight being the only thing standing between them and world domination. In the year 2139 one vampire, only known as "That madman" appeared not to be as mad as they thought. He, also being a vampire himself, found a "cure" to the problem of not being able to walk in the sun.

From then on every vampire ever born would be given this cure. The ones who were bitten later on had to keep to the darkness of the night. In a matter of years vampires managed to take over all the major countries, killing the leaders when needed and taking over their positions.

All the natural vampires were used to the medieval times. Guns, cars and computers still gave them an uneasy feeling. So they were partially banned. Only people with special permissions were allowed to posses most modern technology's.

In the present the old city's and countries no longer exist. The lands have been divided between vampire houses and what once were great city's of the modern world have been reduced to ruins. Instead, they have become popular grounds for exiles, bounty hunters, treasure hunters, and people alike.

However, the rulers of the "other" world which is still referred to as either heaven or hell, weren't too pleased. The balance between life and death was also destroyed because of this "cure". They decided it was time to give "mortals" a little helping hand, to return the balance between life and death. About 30 years ago it was decided that a few select newborns would get something special. Some would get the power to control an element slightly, which could be called magic. Others were physically strengthened. These people would become "equalizers" if they survived long enough, and hopefully restore the balance.

3:

1: Standard Gaia TOS rules.
2: You may auto hit as long as it doesn't kill or severely harm the one you hit. (Think bruises, cuts, pushing someone over, ect.)
3: No godmodding or powerplaying. At all, fullstop.
4: Try to keep to 1 character, but a maximum of 3 per person are allowed.
5: Each post needs to have at LEAST 3 sentences, but try to write a paragraph or more as much as you can.
6: Post a minimum of once per week, and a maximum of twice per day, so people who don't have a lot of time can keep up a little.
7: Send profiles to me with the title "Balance".
8: Controlling npc's is no problem, apart from the lord and his daughter. Only I can control them.
9: I reserve the right to change things when I think they are needed.

Character rules:
1: Magic is REALLY rare and not very powerfull. I don't want to see any "I remove the air from your lungs and choke you" things.
2: Keep things a bit realistic to the rules of nature. No 30 ft jumps or bashing in a wall single handedly.
3: Medieval technology can be found everywhere. Guns, computers, phones and engines are rare and illegal amongst the "common" people.
4: The only races are full vampire, bitten vampire, half vampire and human.
5: Vampires live eternally, crosses and garlic don't work, holy water and silver do. Sunlight is just a bit of a bother, but full vampires aren't affected by it anymore.

Character name: Illithia Sanges
Age: 163
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Vampire
Personality: Seductive, Secretive towards full vampires.
History: Illithia had the misfortune of being born from a human father and a full-vampire mother. Her mother tried to raise her and teach her to at least act like a full-vampire but the girl never really fit in. So once she turned 20 the half-vampire moved out of her mothers home and find a place of her own. Everytime she did, however, she was cast out by the local lords. They didn't want a half-breed in their city or town as it was "bad for their image" as they said. Finally, after about 2 years of searching Illithia found a place were she was "tolerated" by the lord who went by the name of Amadarus. It was a difficult start at first. The local humans were very distrustful and tried to avoid contact as much as possible. But as another 3 years went by most humans accepted her. The distrust never faded for most of them, though.
