Kimia sniffed slightly as she stretched and moved out of the woods bordering the Kusini lands. She sighed lightly, she'd been feeling continuely down-trodden since Adamu had left the lands, and she had seen none of her sons from around the same time. The poor thing did not even realize the boys were full grown, though many had realized by now just how slow Kimia was. Her tail flicked as her bright pink eyes shifted along the grass and then toward the sky. She wondered when he'd be back, if he'd come back. The thought of him dying out in the rogue lands hadn't exactly entered her mind, but the frightening idea that Adamu would find a prettier and better female had. What if he broke their promise to always be family, always stay together? Kimia didn't let herself realize that in a way he had, with leaving the lands for so long.

She shook her head and her ears stiffened as she heard a snapping twig but didn't think too much of it. The naive and gentle lioness would never believe she was in danger, and it was daytime anyhow. Who was scared of such noises when the beatiful sunshine carpeted the very lands she had come to adore? She smiled slightly and started heading toward the wateringholes, her thoughts still on her beloved.

She was seeing less of her son each day, and she contributed it to the roaming genes he clearly had received from his father. After doing a bit of wandering herself, Kibuulu'ardhi had discovered that she really wasn't cut out for that kind of life. She loved being home with her family and friends, and sure she was limiting her own opportunities at finding love by staying in the Kusini'mwezi, but she was content with what life had given her. Of course, life may have been a little better if she saw more of her son, but he was an adolescent, a growing boy, and she didn't want to smother him too much. He had to live his own life, and if that took him away from her for a little while... she would have to be content with that. Buu would have to accept that as fate, and hope that only the best befell her beloved son. Beyond losing contact with her son, her brother had taken off, as had her nephews, and she longed for them to return so she could spoil them like a proper aunt.

The lioness blew out a puff of air, pushing her bangs up for a brief second before they fell across her face once again. Buu was wandering idly through the woods, thinking to herself of what she could do to brighten her days. She very well wasn't going to go off and have another litter, not unless it was with someone she loved. She had thought she had been in love, when she had met Baha's father, but that had been wrong. Buu still didn't feel any ill will towards the lion, but she did regret that he wouldn't stick around.

She grimaced when a twig snapped underneath her paw, because normally she was never this noisy. Oh well. The lioness continued forward, until she saw a pale blue form a few yards away from her. "Oh! Kimia! Hello." She knew the lioness, at least from her appearance. It was her brother's mate, and she was happy to see the lioness, and happy to have the opportunity to speak with her.

Kimia's heart skipped a beat and her eyes widened for a second after she heard her name, thinking perhaps Adamu was finally back! She stumbled in her haste to turn around and pounce the large male, and her mind almost continued to believe the ill-fitting voice of a lioness was her mate when she spotted what could have passed for his pelt and dark mane. She froze when her eyes landed on the female though, her expression was that of one who was utterly confused. She had never met the lioness, and though she knew of Adamu's two sisters she'd never been taken to meet them formally. Still.. she did look a lot like him... Oh gosh, what if the gods turned him into a female? What would she do then... would they still be like before? No... of course, she could still be ultimately and utterly his alone if he was a she...

Kimia's face had slowly twisted into annoyance as her thoughts began to confuse her and she blinked, head tilting. "Adamu?" She breathed very softly, wondering if lions could really be turned into lionesses. "D-don't tell me... that... I mean.. I still love you if you are a female but... but... I mean what sort of god would make such a mistake in turning you to a lioness?" Well, Adamu certainly hadn't picked his mate for her brains.

Wait... what?

Kibuulu'ardhi blinked once, and then twice, when the lioness called her Adamu. She had to look herself over just to try and discover what it was that had triggered the thought that Buu was indeed Adamu. Sure... they did look like each other, they were siblings. But, her head tuft wasn't extremely fluffy today, and she hadn't spoken in a very manly voice. So, why was Kimia calling her Adamu? When Kimia continued to speak on, Buu gave her a completely clueless look. Gods? She had been turned into a girl? Wait. The more Kimia talked, the more confused Buu became, until the end she just had to sort things out one by one. "I'm not Adamu... I'm pretty sure that I was born female, and that I've never met a god in my life."

Almost cautiously she approached the other lioness, trying to get close enough so Kimia could see that she indeed was not Adamu. "I'm Kibuulu'ardhi. Adamu is my brother... so I suppose it is quite easy to mistake me for being him. We do look a bit alike." There was an easy, forgiving smile on Buu's face. She didn't think of Kimia any lesser because she had made the mistake, and she could understand that Kimia was longing for Adamu to return, and so could become a little... delirious. No, Buu didn't think any worse of her, and in fact found it a little endearing that Kimia wanted to see Adamu so much that she was even mistaking his sister for being him.

Oh, so Adamu wasn't turned into a lioness... then who was this? Who looked so much like her precious Adamu... as Kibu stepped forward Kimia stepped back, suddenly a little unsure of the stranger that looked so much like Adamu. The poor thing couldn't put two and two together, it seemed.

"Kibuulu'ardhi.." She mimicked, trying hard to think where she'd heard the name before. She didn't talk to many other lions in the pride, so perhaps her mind was trying to trick her again. "Oh! Your brother!" She said, suddenly sounding very happy and she moved forward again, a happy look upon her face. He must have mentioned her name, then. "But also different.." She nodded and didn't bother explaining her mistake. "Have you seen him?" She sounded hopeful that perhaps his sister would know if he was back or not, though Kimia often dreamed he would definetely come see her first.

"Ah... I'm.." Oh right, Kibuulu already knew her name. Oh well, might as well repeat it. "Kimia'Jicho... and you knew that!" She said with a small laugh. Which meant.. "Oh! Adamu must have told you... he talks about me?" How pleased she sounded about the prospect, knowing that her love spoke about her to others. Only good things, she hoped. "He's mentioned you and your other sister to me too.... but.." Her expression became a little sheepish. "But I didn't realize you were one of them." She shrugged helplessly and smiled again.

She was a little surprised that Kimia did not immediately know who she was, but she didn't mind in the least. She just smiled indulgently and waited for the pieces of the puzzle to fit correctly in Kimia's head. "Yes, my brother," she repeated, nodding her head encouragingly at Kimia. She liked the lioness. She was sweet, and there was definitely an aura of innocence to her that Buu could appreciate and enjoy. Besides, they were both missing someone that was very important to them, and they could at least share their pain with one another, and lessen the burden each had to share. "No, I haven't seen him, but I'm sure he'll be back soon, and until then we just have to be patient and wait. I'm sure he won't be so mean as to make us wait terribly long. It's just a pity that he hasn't been able to see how Bahati's grown..." She shook her head. Well, she was sure Adamu would see Bahati full grown eventually.

"Of course he talks about you," she replied with a soft chuckle. "You're his beloved mate, why wouldn't he talk to you with me? And I can assure you that all he said about you was in praise of your attributes, of course." Buu was easily becoming relaxed around Kimia, and had already taken a seat, which meant that she was more than ready to engage in a bit of friendly conversation. "It's all right, we've never formally met, so I didn't really expect you to know who I was. I just happened to know who you were because Adamu described you to me, and I've seen you around a few times. I've just never gotten the chance to talk to you, up until now." Oh, but she was happy that she was finally getting the chance to talk to Kimia. It would be good to know what her brother's mate was like.

Kimia had also decided she liked Adamu's sister very much, she was kind and very nice. She did not make Kimia feel nervous or self concious, and all of these things were good. Her heart sank a little when Buu said she had not seen Adamu though, and she could only hope she'd be right about him returning soon. How long did she have to wait and be patient! She was not good at waiting, especially on matters concerning her mate. When she mentioned a 'Bahati' Kimia had to stop and think a moment of some of the things Adamu had told her about his sister. She suddenly looked very please, "Your son!" She stated outloud, as if confirming her own thoughts. "He is Izzy, Ari and Teko's cousin." Yes, that all sounded correct and she was very proud of herself for remembering such relations. "Though I do not know if they've played together." She said with a small frown, realizing she did not know much about her sons. If other lions studied Kimia as she 'mothered' her cubs they might come to the conclusion she was not a very good mother, if only because she was not that concerned with her cubs as much as she was concerned with Adamu. Still, she loved her sons very much and meant them no harm, she did wish the world for them but had never found time to hunt for them. Instead she enjoyed playing games and talking to them as if they were just her small and precious friends.

When Kimia watched Buu sit down she quickly moved over to the side of the lioness and also sat down, almost touching the other as she sat so close. Kimia much more preffered sitting next to another and talking than sitting in front of said lion. Besides, this way she could point out interesting things she saw to Buu if she spotted them and the other lioness would not have to turn to look at them or anything.

She was still grinning, though it hardly had left her maw except when she thought of Adamu not being in the Kusini lands. "Well that is very good... that we're finally talking. I don't have friends... I see a lot of the other members around but they always seem busy..." She shrugged lightly, she didn't seem to be bothered by this. "But it was easy to find those who wanted to play games... in a way my sons are my friends!" She nodded and looked to Buu, head tilting. "Bahati is your friend and your son, right?" She wondered if it was the same for all lionesses, or if she was just doing something strange. She did not realize that for most mothers the son relationship came first and the friendship after. For Kimia that idea was backwards.
