Kia ora all. I'm from New Zealand and I'm studying political science (and history) at university, focusing on political theory and international relations.
My favourite (ex-)politician is Václav Havel, he was the President of Czechoslovakia when it split and President of the Czech Republic until 2003. I support Barack Obama for the US Presidancy. My vote's probably going to the NZ Labour Party this election, but the Greens are a possibility and there's a promising looking broad left-wing party recently registered. It's pretty much inevitable National are gonna win it though. Grrr.
I consider myself a modern liberal...anarchism is the ideal for me but I don't believe that it's possible (except in tiny communities) so I'm your typical Western liberal democracy proponent.
What I'm most concerned about currently is the new right, climate change, human rights abuses and international relations in general.

My father was a Rebulican local politician back east; I admire Peter DeFazio and Dennis Kucinich. I grew up surrounded by political debate.
I'm big on universal health care, LBGTQQA rights, choice, fully funding education, and social justice in general.

I fell off my Dirtbike and its Engine gave me a B-B-Q leg
