Nevermind that piece of sh---yalaman that Avatar: The Movie is going to most likely end up being. Really, whose idea was to put shyalafailafaila in charge of that one?

Alita's also doomed to fail, Cameron or not. And the Akira movie? Di Caprio is in it, that alone screams DO NOT WANT to me, loud and clear.

Hey the way I see it a good director can make a good live action Adaption of an anime. Yes Dragon Ball Evolution sucked but it was directed by someone whose best rated movie was final Destination, a movie which really is not that good in it's own right.

Battle Angel on the other hand was made for James Cameron. He is one of the best sci fi action directors of all time.

I understand your fears and i will not try to change your opinion but James Cameron could make a better movie then Dragon Ball Evolution in his sleep.

Of course he has not directed a movie in over fifteen years. Does he still have it? i guess we have to see how Avatar is (The alien epic Avatar not the one based on that overrated Nick Cartoon) if that movie is great and proves that James Cameron is still as good as he once was then there will be nothing to worry about Battle angel.

This is my stance on Anime live action apations, I see them like live action adaptions of comic books. I believe that with a tallented director and a good cast they could be great movies. Dragon Ball Evolution lacked both.

Oh it was the idea of the creators of Avatar to put Shamalyn in charge of the Last Airbender. They are huge fans of his movies and chose for him personally to direct the movie. That does not mean it will be good but he was their choice.
