She waited quietly, keeping herself as still as she could as her predatory eyes narrowed onto her unsuspected prey. Inch by painful inch, she moved closer and closed towards the target until her body was within a good leap of the target. Her muscles tensed and coiled with massive effort and then, pounce! Her body moved suddenly through the air causing her bells jingled lightly from the motion. She, with her deliberate movements, felt that that interruption was not enough to cause her hunt to be disturbed. Then, a butterfly fluttered by. Tehila glared. "Darn it," she moved back to a relaxed position, "I can't even catch a darn insect!"The young adult yawned against the blazing sun and then gave a heavy sigh. It had been a while since she hunted a good meal. Her dazzling white pelt was not much help and so, for the past few months, her patience was constantly tested. Suddenly, her large ears twitched and her head turned causing her bells to sound into the still air. Her body was quiet. She heard something in the fairly open forest… she was sure!

Carelessly walking out openly in the evergreen forest, an Ulaya with such a peculiar appearance had appeared. As the sun glistened among his fish-like scales that ran from the nape to his theighs, a crescent moon marking embedded in them began to fade away. It was another day, and yet another heat wave that mother nature felt like gracing upon the creatures of the world... On days such as these, Phelps, a Ki'rin Ulaya, was often annoyed if he was not caught gleefully swimming in a lake or the riverbed. It seemed as if the water was his only friend, and perhaps the only thing that could help anyone escape the terrible sunlight forced upon them.
As he continued his stroll, a strange and unusual butterfly landed right on his nose. "Why... hello there!" he said to the exotic insect. Chuckling at the randomness of life, he gazed at the insect for some time, not minding the fact that it was perched on his nose, stretching its wings to get ready for a long and dutiful journey to make the world a beautiful place. Admiring the intricate design of colors of the butterfly, it was clear that this one, was a male. It's funny how in some species, the male must stand out to attract the female.
It was at this time when Phelps heard the sigh of a woman near by. Curious as always, his ears tweaked a bit, "I wonder who that could be..." he thought to himself as he crept slowly into the direction of the sigh while still balancing the butterfly on his nose. It was an unusual sight, that's for sure. After all, a cross eyed Ulaya is not something you see everyday.

As Tehila's dark eyes continued to scan and search the land, she was bound to catch a glimpse of the approaching Ki'rin. After all, he was hard to miss considering he was fairly blue, standing out against the green and brown backdrop. Confused, she blinked several times in hopes the strange sight would turn back into something normal and understandable. Never before has she seen an ulaya with a butterfly born onto its nose! She had seen her share of strange ulayas including ones with horns, wing, spikes, clothes, feathers, and all those oddities.
Finally, the curiosity was too much to take and Tehila began making her way over at a fall trot. It never occurred to her that the other ulaya might be unfriendly or unwelcoming towards company. Then again, she never really cares. As she began nearing him, she finally realized that the butterfly was not growing from his nose but rather perched itself gracefully on him. Squinting more, she also realized that was the same butterfly she had been attempting to eat earlier.
"YOU!" She suddenly half-screamed and half-called out towards Phelp in irritation, "How dare you escape me, insect!" Actually, apparently, she was directing her passionate outcry towards the butterfly.

Near by, the words "How dare you escape me, insect!" echoed. As the unfriendly screeching reached his ears, he winced in pain, causing the butterfly to flutter away. "Darn..." he uttered to himself in disappointment of losing a new friend. Looking around, he noticed a simple white Femme was near by, and boy did she look angry. Confused at her previous statement, he was almost certain he had never met her...ever!
Taking caution, he crept away slowly, getting ready to bolt away in case she was a cannibal. After all, she did call him an insect! "I mean you no harm?" he replied innocently, hoping to ease her rage. But right as he uttered those words, he realized he might have made the situation worse in an off chance that he did meet this Ulaya before and just doesn't remember. His passions aren't exactly chasing femmes... In fact, he would rather chase after his own girl than a girl. He's just that athletic... or just that stupid... Who really knows?
