 Tenpi was shaking a bit violently as he tredged threw the deep snow his thin pelt poking out. He decided to stop. He smelt the aroma of other helixes but tried his best to ignore it. But then he remember. It could be his mother.

 Harlequin Kartala was off, away from her brothers and family, looking for somthing that just might be the slightest bit interesting. Being born in the north, her fur coat was thick, keeping her warm. She hardly reconized the cold any more....except for when she was out too long. Fur only held up for so long... Kartala's nose came across somthing peculiar an unfamiliar scent right before her eyes came in contact with the sight of small paw prints no bigger than her own. She knew for a fact that none of her brothers were out here, nor did any smell like that. So who was this small critter running around on her land? Smirking to herself she decided to follow the foot prints, she was gonna find it!

Tenpi now smelt something following him. He looked behind him but the snow was too dense behind him. He gave a light sigh as he decided to wait for whatever was there. He also slid under the snow to numb himself from the cold. He still shook an shivered but the snow perserved his movement.

Kartala smiled as her springy step turned into a springy trot along the paw prints. She stoped were they did and ditn't se any thing but disturbed snow. "Hello?" Her stuffy little kid voice was curious as she sniffed the area....there was a scent but no helix! "Are you a ghost?" Harlequin's ears went back a little and her red tipped tail twiched slightly. She didn't like this whole ghost thing, she hoped it went away. Really she shouldn't have followed the foot prints....

Right when Tenpi saw the female pup his age he gave a light smirk. " I am a ghost~!" He mewed was he finally pounced out of the snow finally pinning Kartala to the ground. He then barked out of triumph " Boo~ "

Kartala squeeled with fright and was shaking when she was pinned down by another helix. "Hey!" She scolded, nipping at him. "Get off of me! That wasn't nice!" Her voice held authority though she wasn't much older or younger than him. However it went. She scowled at him, waiting for him to get off of her.

Tenpi snickered as he got off her. He had a wide grin as he said " Who ever told you that ambushers played nice?" He teased lightly shaking his fur. He snickered again.

She shook her own cream colored fur as she stood, hoping snow splatered in his direction. Kartala glared at him before sitting down. "Who ever told you that you could ambush random strangers on their own land?" She snarled, though it wasn't very impresive, her being a puppy and all that jazz.

" No one~ This is no mans land!" He teased. A bit of snow landed on his nose and he shook it off. " Come on kid don;t over react..."

Kartala eyed him with clear golden eyes. "It still wasn't very nice....." She grumbled slightly but quickly perked her mismatched ears up. "Why are you here?" Her head tilted in curiosity, her eyes suddenly smiling.

Tenpi thought for a second. Then he answered " I was looking for my mother but instead I found you kid. " He said with a smirk " And I had to do something to entertain myself~"

KArtala rolled her eyes and stuck out her toung. "I do belive I'm about your age so quit calling me 'kid'." It had started to snow, giant flurries whipping around in the wind, around the pups. It was getting stuck in her fur and melting, making her cold. "I have a name, its Harlequin Kartala. Don't call me by the whole thing. Only my mom does that when I'm in trouble."

" Harlequin right? I am Tenpi... " He then laughed at her comment. " My dad doesn't get made at me isn't that awsome? " he teased.
