I laughed, but I sort of think it would be kind of weird if you wern't from the U.S

Yeah, I'm not usually a fan of national-based humour on an international site.
But personally, even though I'm Australian, I've been following the US election all year (I'm a bit of a political junkie) so I reacted pretty well this time. whee

TBH, the american presidential elections kind of effect the rest of the world -- so every other country both gets media coverage of them, and has an opinion. It'd be weird if it was the NZ politicians coz no one beyond new zealand (...and several people within new zealand, lol) cares about them - but we *all* know who the american candidates are, so I think it's fine. Actually, I giggled when I saw them - I agree with the 'astonishingly realistic' description they gave. XDDDD
