Osprey landed lightly on the limb she had been perched on not all that many nights ago. The painted Mist let her golden gaze wander over the usual hubub of the platform, which was busy with drop offs at this hour, as it typically was.

He remembered, right?

Of course, Holly wouldn't forget something like this. That was a silly thing to think. They have a wonderful time set aside in which to watch their first leaves turn, plus there would be hunting to do... Work was never done, but at least it would seem like a break and it would be spent in good company.

Her talons tightened around the gnarled limb as she returned to looking for her agemate and friend amongst the crowd. Perchance he was dropping off some prey he had caught earlier that moonrise. The night was still young and there would be plenty of time to travel north, plus the weather was nice and crisp. It would be a pleasant travel and she would get to know the northern reaches even better.

"See it? Him? Spotty Deep?" Mus questioned as she slid off of her Master's back and settled on her talons. She was questioning about Hollyhock.

Hollyhock wasn't quite late, but he wasn't as early as he had intended to be, either. He had been sitting for a long time, awake and hunting as soon as the light grew dim enough for him to see without much pain, waiting for a fat rabbit he had marked the night before to return to its warren, and his patience had been well-rewarded. At the last second, moments before he would have needed to leave to make it on time, the prize had finally come along.

As he winged into the platform with the prize in his talons, he couldn't help but look around for the pale mist he was certian would be waiting for him. He wished he hadn't run so late; he had wanted to be adjusted and patient, waiting for her, or better yet, to have arrived at the same time. Now he looked foolish. But at least the rabbit would redeem him somewhat. Landing and dropping it, he looked up and saw her. There. He couldn't help but smile, preening quickly before taking wing again and gliding to the branch to meet her.

"Ossie," he said happily, missing the branch he had intended in his hurry to impress her and catching the next available one with a considerably miffed expression, turning to look at her. "How are you?"

Ossie couldn't help the grin that crossed her beak edges as she caught sight of Hollyhock. Her sharp golden eyes traced across his form as he winged towards the platform and she noticed the rather plump rabbit that he had brought to drop off.

Of course he remembered, see? He was only hunting for the clan and it wasn't like he was late, she was just... Feeling a little edgy? It was a strange feeling for her and she couldn't quite understand it. All she was sure of was that she was thrilled to see her dearest friend again. Truth be told, it hadn't been all that long. Some interesting things had gone down and she had made new friends in the north, but it hadn't been so long that she ought to miss Holly as much as she really did.

"Doin' well, Holly! How 'bout yourself? Nice big rabbit you brought up." She commented and questioned almost simultaneously as she beamed at her friend.

"Doing wonderfully," Holly answered, all but beaming at Ossie as he looked her up and down. It hadn't been that long since he had last seen her, but somehow, it felt like it had been. He had missed her more than he thought was possible, particularly for such a short amount of time, but that wasn't really that unusual. After all, Hollyhock had very little time to spend with friends recently, and any time he could find to spend with his longest-standing companion was good time.

"Yeah, that rabbit and I've been meeting the past several nights," he said conversationally, puffing his chest feathers as he delivered his (admittedly slightly boastful) speech. "Finally got him tonight. I think it's good luck," he added slyly.
