McCain's defeat speech was noble and well written. He congratulated Obama and wished him the best of luck and hoped that they will work together to fix America. He seemed upset about the naysayers who would 'boo' when he mentioned Obama. His composure during those outbursts made me admire him more.
I will always respect him as a courageous ex-military, ex-prisoner-of-war, and a senator who stays close to his ideals. I'm just glad he won't be president. I think if he ran decades previously, his military-record would've taken him farther.

I quite agree. He was kinder than I had thought, as I hadn't done much research. Many of my friends didn't understand when I told them his defeat speech was good and courteous.
