Sabriel sat looking out at the water, the sand felt so nice in between her toes. She loved the beach, the sound of the water as it hit the sand, so steady and deep...the scent of the salt and the wetness of the air. She just couldnt get enough of it, this was her home as far as she was concerned. She began to wander up and down the sandy coast searching for treasures that the waves would sometimes bring her. It was a game she played with the water, it would bring her gifts and she had to find them.
Sabriel came across a large log in the sand, the wood was knotted and about twice her size. Sabriel stood in shocked amazement, her eyes sparkling like a childs at christmas, the wood had long since been bleached almost perfectly white and the way the log was wedged into the sand made it look like a jungle gym to her. She leapt at the chance to try and climb the structure. Yes the ocean officially loved her and Sabriel loved it as well! She leapt up onto the lover parts of the log and began to skillfully maneuver the knots, examining each one closely as she passed and often running her paws over the bumpy and textured surfaces. It was such an interesting toy! All of her attention was soon absorbed in exploring and examining the log.
