Azul looked out of ther calm waters, and sighed content. It had been quite a long time since she'd looked out and seen the beautiful blue expanse that is the ocean. She smiled wistfully as she breathed in the salty smell.
She sat down on the beach with black sand and felt the breeze on her face.
Azul knew of the legends, but she didn't really pay attention to them. She knew that some stories were really only stories, and that didn't neccessarily bother her. After all, what were the chances that out of the entire island, she'd just HAPPEN to run across the fire beast. She chuckled slightly at the thought, thankful that Ragdoll wasn't with her, if she had been... well... let's just say Azul knew she would find herself romping through the jungle trying to stop Ragdoll from purposefuly finding, and pissing off the fire beast.
She shook her head and stood up slowly, continuing to look out and over the ocean. She wondered momentarily if her father was out fishing at this very moment... and if so, what he was catching. She quickly pushed that thought from her mind, lately, having to think about her family only made her rather upset, and she'd rather not start remembering them in a bad light.
So, mind set to find a distraction, Azul began to lazily walk along the beach, listening to the waves coming in, feeling the warm water at her feet, the breeze through her fur, and the sun on her face. She just knew today was going to be a good one.

 Scorch was laying in the dark sand, his eyes half-closed lazily. There was nothing to do anymore, besides just walking around aimlessly. He hadn't even ran into any decent Ulaya, male or female. He sighed, and then got off of his lazy back-side and began to walk around. The sand that he was stepping on was slipping and crushing under his strong paws, and just to, he stepped off the beach and onto the grass. he had to admit, he had never seen anything like this place, with the green so intense. It was almost....freaky. As if the force of their colors were pushing him over, he found his paws leading back onto the sand, and almost stumbled over himself. Great.
He closed his eyes, continuing to let his paws lead him forwards. The sounds of the water rang in his ears, and the salty smell drifted up his nose. Now he wouldn't be able to smell anything else for a week! His ears flicked forward suddenly, as he heard the waters roar high above him at a much closer distance than before. He forced his eyes open quickly, and looked up at a wave that threatened to topple over his head. He hissed loudly and bristled his back fur as he ran away from the waves as fast as he could. He whipped back around, arching his back and snarling at the ocean. He cut off half-way and widdened his eyes, realising that this was something kits do, not Ulaya like him! Feeling angry at himself, he continued to storm off down the beach......closer to where this blue speck was. But so far, he didn't notice.

Azul stopped once more and looked out at the water. She trotted up slowly, watching the tide slowly and calmly roll in and out... in and out. she watched with extreme interest as tiny schools of fish swam their hardest against the tide. She giggled as a few of them rolled in with the tide.
She was still giggling even as a ginormous wave caught her ususpectingly. now... normally the water doesn't bother her... but like i said, it caught her off guard and she let out a rather loud and girlish squeal. she felt her eye twitch as the water receded. She felt her eye twitch as salt water dripped from her body. She knew at that very moment she looked exactly as she felt... a drowned rat.
She mockingly shook her paw at the ocean. "someday ocean... someday... I'l get you back!" She laughed with a carefree feeling. Ususally it would have been Ragdoll making the random generic threats.
She smirked mischeviously as she regarded the ocean, as if she was calculating something very serious in her head. She turned around and looked as if she was going to walk up towards the jungle, before suddenly turning around and bolting towards the water and jumping into the water with a giant splash.
As her head broke through the waters surface she smiled victoriously and waded back to the shore before shaking out her fur and trotting back up the beach slightly. her smile softened as she was breifly reminded of her child hood and the first time she had learned to swim. She was completely engrossed in her thoughts, she never even realised that there was suddenly a black and red blob moving towards her.

Scorch heard another wave crash somewhere infront of him, and because of his recent experience he had, he looked towards it to see what had happened. His ears flicked forward to find the source, and because he noticed something. Something possibly....interesting. Another shape, but it was unnatural with the backround behind it. He took a few small steps forwards, then focused on the object....no, Ulaya. He now saw the water dripping off its fur, as if it was swimming or got spalshed. He growled slightly, but stopped nearly immediately. He wanted to find out more about this one. Maybe he could have a little.....fun with it, but what kind? And could this Ulaya even be worth his time?
He snorted it off, and then walked down towards it, almost in a stalking postion. He wasn't trying to stalk up behind it, but he didn't want to get caught....yet.

Azul shook out her fur a few more times until finally she was happy with the results; sure she was still a little damp but nothing the afternoon sun couldn't take care of. She yawned and walked cautiosly back towards the water's edge. The water might have tricked her once, but now it was calm and she was pretty sure that it was going to stay that way. She closed her eyes and felt the water lap at her paws, it was calming and relaxing and in that very moment she was sure that nothing could ruin her day.
She breathed in deeply and smiled widely, these were the days she lived for. The days that made her question why she'd ever left the Island, the days that made her think that life was perfe....
She opened her eyes abruptly and scowled. She knew that suddenly, SOMETHING bad was about to happen... This day was going along a little TOO perfectly.
