Baju sat quietly on a boulder, snoozing. The warm sun permeated through the sparse covering of the tree branches above, casting a dappled pattern of light upon the emerald grasses below. He flipped over in his sleep, uttering a slight noise of pleasure as the sun hit him right on his belly. It was so calm today, so peaceful...

Serafina, the small Ki'rin, brightly-hued fur and scales shimmering slightly in the dappled sunlight, as she bounded through the grass with childish release, happy to be out in the sunshine, warmer. She had no guardian, for Aberi was off being her usual sneaky self attacking things. Serafina giggled as she tripped through the tall grass that nearly hid her from view. Serafina flopped down, and mewled quietly, giggling once more.

Baju woke up from his nap, cracking a cream eye open. He yawned and blinked, opening both eyes to take in the tranquil scene around him. Something pink frolicking in the grass caught his attention, and Baju leaped off the boulder to go investigate.

Serafina, in her own bliss had not noticed the older Ulaya, until she heard the soft noise of grass under paw. Blinking, she opened her eyes and viewed Baju with intrigue and the usual fear of children toward strangers. "H-Hello." She squeaked, her voice a soft tinkle of noise. She wasn't quite sure what to think, her fluffy, scaled tail flicking lazily as she smiled up at the older adult. She was respectful, even if she hadn't met many.

Baju smiled at the little ki'rin, his cream gem glinting softly. "Hello there." he said, taking a seat. He hadn't seen an ulaya like this, and she intrigued him. So small! She was apparently only a kit, and she reminded him of those beautiful pink blossoms that were in the trees above.

"Hi hi, sir." She said with a squeaking voice of delight. She had met Gods and strange deities of the same, but this Ulaya seemed just normal and happy to be such. "I-I'm Serafina...so long! Sera..." She rolled over back onto her belly and shook out her fur and her fluffing tail with a flourish. The one thing that was definitely evident that she wasn't a normal Ulaya was the horn that jutted from her brow in a flourish of light pink spirals.

"My name is Baju. Nice to meet you, Sera." Baju shifted slightly, the cool breeze ruffling his fur. "Isn't it such a nice day...? Such pretty weather." He looked upwards at the sky, watching the white fluffs of the clouds soar gently past. The emerald leaves on the trees murmured softly, providing a calm background song.

Serafina followed his gaze out of curiosity. Looking upwards at the endless sky made her feel utterly small, but the sky was pretty, bright blue and clear save for the few clouds that skidded across it by the soft wind. "It is a p-pretty day, it's warm." She said with a nod of her head. She was gleeful to have company with her, for she was utterly lonely, only knowing a few.
