Lumi looked over at the pile of stockings lying on the forest floor and then looked at the furry things running around and inbetween their legs. She wondered how they were going to get along now that they had practically destroyed their homes.... Lumi looked up suddenly, concern showing in her eyes. "What do we do about them?" she asked, motioning towards the little furry creatures that were so enamored with shiney objects.

Makaio was surprised with the relative ease he and Charlotte used to get the log to the little critter-hole Merala was stuck in. Certainly after a good night's sleep he would be nice and stiff and sore, but he felt surprisingly capable. His intention was to help Charlotte push the log into the hole - or maybe even do it himself - but when he looked up and saw her quite aptly handling it on her lonesome, he decided to stand aside. He did find himself wincing slightly when the doe (it didn't really seem fair to call her a doe; she was a lot more assertive, a lot stronger, a lot better than any of the does and even some of the bucks he'd ever met. he would have to come up with a better name for her) took a bit of collateral damage from the tree, but she seemed alright, so his concern ended there, for the most part.
"Oh!" He'd been so busy watching Charlotte that he hadn't noticed - or expected - Merala to come racing out of the hole the way she did. He frowned a bit, glancing at the others for some sort of affirmation of what he'd just seen, but no sooner did he glance around did the doe come trotting back. What an odd thing she was.
That over, he started towards the pile of stockings, but paused in his steps when he heard Lumi's concern. That was true; they had just destroyed the little creatures' home. He certainly would not have been happy if bears came along and shoved giant logs into HIS glen. He frowned a bit as he glanced back to the pit. "Maybe we ought to...dig them a new home or something?"

Arkadian whispered into Charlotte's ear quickly, making her unconsciously respond by bobbing her head up and down slightly. "My guardian says that it probably was just a hole they found. The under-area of a home, maybe, or something of that sort. Anyway, that hole seemed a bit big for something they would make for themselves." She glanced down to the creatures still milling around their hooves, some carrying stockings to Herla they'd taken a shine to. "They seem to have attached themselves to us, somehow. Maybe we're just interesting enough to keep their attention for a while." Looking around at the Herla gathered with her, she continued. "Let's gather up the stockings and head back to the Queen. She will want to hear the stories, and see these little creatures for herself. Let's be off!" Charlotte grabbed up a bunch of the stockings in her mouth and, with one last glance around the group, set off with a bound back to the central Glen.
