I found this article while I was on IMDb.
"3-D" is on the lips of the producing team at Twisted Pictures, the house of horror known for churning out the Saw franchise. And if the future continues to look bright for the Jigsaw legacy (Saw V grossed over $100 million worldwide), you might just see a Saw sequel coming at you in the same technology that made My Bloody Valentine 3D leap off the screen.
At last night's sold-out, energetic Los Angeles screening of Repo! The Genetic Opera, another Twisted production, ShockTillYouDrop.com got to speaking with the producers who are seriously mulling over a Saw 3D. Perhaps not Saw VI but a seventh entry.
With 3-D becoming prevalent in the horror genre this year, it might be advantageous to consider doing part six in 3-D, but with an October 23rd release date looming and pre-production beginning soon - could Twisted make it work? If there was ever a time to freshen up this ongoing horror franchise, this is it. Imagine seeing Jigsaw's devices in your face...
Just to make clear, nothing is set in stone, but the 3-D ideas are being kicked around.
I think that it would be so cool to see John in 3-D. My movie theater sucks so I didn't get to see "My Bloody Valentine" in 3-D. But we have made plans to go to a bigger movie theater for SAW VI *due to the past two years the bulbs keep blowing out every time!* so this would be so awesome to me. What do you guys think?

wow...this post is really old! But how could anyone just ignore this idea!?
I say its an awsome idea! : D I would totally pay double the average ticket price an my theater to see a Saw movie in 3-D! Saw franchise ftw!!! :]

3-D films are wicked, the one I went to see was very cool, they are quite well done. I would be sure to see it if it is brought out in 3-D!!!

I think that idea is awesome but I don't think they would make Saw VI in 3-D cause it's just not enough time to do that. The movie comes in October. But idk if they did make it in 3-D it would make one hell of a movie. =P

I actually think it's a terrible idea. They'd be working more on how to make the movie better in 3-D than to have a good storyline and get everything done in time.
Think about it...
"We need every trap to look wicked awesome in 3-D!"
"COOL! LET'S MAKE STUFF BLOW UP AND GO KABLOOEY AND SPLATTER BLOOD ON THE CAMERA HURHUR."
Saw is meant to be enjoyed just as it is. As soon as they go 3-D, I'm gonna go stab the screenwriters and directors with some enhanced, pointy 3-D glasses.

That'd be pretty sweet, but I must be the only SAW fan to think they should have stopped at 3. They've been beating the SAW horse to DEATH.

If they could make Saw 3 in 3-D [[OHHH! hur...]] I'd go see it. Be after wasting my good money on SAW 4 and 5...Eh...No more for me. :/
