I found out through a friend from when I was in Middle school! She talked about it and showed me the site. Right when I saw all the cute clothes and items, I got addicted. xD
The friend ended up quitting right away while I got really addicted!

I got my start on Gaia when my daughter introduced me to it on December 27th 2008. She needed a banner made and my son, who was supposed to be making banners for her, kinda just left her hanging - so she asked me to give it a go. Been hooked on it ever since I created a character just to post that first banner I made. smile

I think I saw my sister playing it one day... Then I was all "lemme get on!" so I dressed her avi up xD then finally made my own account... And spent my first 9-ish months being an idiot in the cb, going to the arenas, and... stuff xD

I remember i stumbled here thanks to my cousin.He and i were talking about internet games or whatever...i was playing Maplestory at the time,and he was on Gaia.we ended up playing a little i'll show you my website if you show me yours.I remember him showing me the MP and that he was questing for either the Chain Top or the Chain of Command at the time and he showed me the Ancient Katana and other MCs.
I ended up making an account,but i didn't really have computer access at the time.This was 06
A year or so later,i had forgotten about Gaia and rediscovered it and signed up with a different email account.When i got hacked, i tried making another account with another email address,but was told that that account was being used already.That's when i came back to being Billiam.

I remember it was because I saw a really cute panda on neopets, with a button below it saying "Want one of these? Click here!" So I did. It brought me to Gaia. The guy selling them had a lot of angelic items, and I thought, "Why am I playing neopets when this exists." So I quit & switched. xD

I found out about Gaia last year. I was in drama class for a younger grade, mostly just to take up another spot on my schedule.
I didn't fit in well, and the GPP student was rying to get to know people.
She pulled me to the side and introduced herself, asked me what kind of stuff I liked.
I told her I like games, people, and hanging out and talking with friends. I was just too shy to make friends very easily.
So she asked what kind of games I like and I told her roleplay. And that I roleplayed with my friends every chance I got. I used to be on Neopets, but stuff happened and I got banned after posting in the forums when I wasn't allowed to.
So I joined Marapets. And A Spider-Riders roleplaying game. XD.
Then she suggested Gaia.
My mom checked it out, and said it was okay.
And here I am.

@Jeddi - Yeah I think you mentioned you were a cb spammer, lol.
@Bill - I played MS for like 3 days. I guess I still have an acct there, unless they delete them or don't exist anymore.
@Doc - Glad you switched. XD My niece is on Neopets, she has a lot of stuff there so I am told. But I have no idea if that is in any way meaningful.
@Rose - I hear getting banned on Neopets is pretty easy. Anyhow, it's nice that you are here now. ^_^

She deleted my account, plus the one I used for talking o the forums when I was ten.

Oh gosh! Back in 04 a friend showed me. I signed up and left after a short period of time. This account was actually a mule. When I came back 2 years later I'd lost the info for the first acct. So this acct. became my main. I was able to recover the first acct, almost 2 years ago. She has a cute outfit and it's more of a sentimental acct.
