The evening breeze blew through her fur bring with her all the pleasent scents of the approaching night. Golden eyes scanned the area as she padded quietly along. Muscles rippled under her fur as she moved. She had been born there at the temple, the Mask she wore was something she held to as a memory of her mother, who had long since passed in cub-birth. She had many siblings, some of which still ran with the Pride, others which had fallen from her memory but this was not a night to dwell on such sadness, such darkness. No the past was gone into itself, and she was in the here and now. Pausing only slightly as she glanced over her shoulder, Miska had quietly joined her, bouncing onto her back, and nuzzling an ear.
"You should not think so much, Amma, you know thats a sign of insanity." the cheerful tone of her lemure familiar reach her ears, bringing with it a tooth grin of her own. She didn't roll over as she might have at another time, playfully trying to pin the creature. She had found as just a cub, now it was her constant companion more so than her pride-mates.
"True enough I guess." she murmured as she longingly glanced into the quickly darkening night. "But don't you ever wonder whats really out there, you know beyond what we know ?"

It wasn't just his assumption that he wasn't alone, he heard to low voices, and couldn't help but smile faintly. Amma had been a cubling around the same time that he had. They had developed a lasting friendship at that time, and here they were adults now, but it was not for him to decide where they stood. His mane rippled slightly in the breeze, and he shook his head a little to keep it from his eyes. A faint little smile graced his face as he came to stop next to her and the lemur that had attached itself to her. "I had wondered when I would actually see you, as I could hear your little friends for some miles." he told her with a chuckle. he was still thinking on her question, posed to the air, but posed to him since he was lingering in that space between. He gave a faint smile to her, and leaned into her quietly "I think it would be foolish, Amma, to think we are the only souls in the universe, who knows what might be out there, however, we have our responsiabilities to the Pride, here we don't often ask what ifs, when day to day life is so challanging, you have always thought outside the norm.." he gave her a sad little smile.
"I wonder, how long it will be." he mused quietly, though loud enough for her to question him if she wanted.
