i used to be afraid of the dark because i would feel things and see things, but i found out that things like this can be atracted by fear, now im not afraid and i dont see them, i think its where they get there power

At least this is the best theory I've found. After all, they couldn't read your mind, just your energy or maybe aura... which vibrates.

I used to be afraid of the dark, cause I was scared something would pop up and scare the s**t out of me. :B
But i've summoned ghosts once, in my room, and afterwards, I've always had this strange feeling when it's dark.

But I was young that time, me and my friend were interested and that stuff & witchcraft, and I was like "HEY SUMMON GHOSTS" xD
It got addicted, and weird stuff happened.
Gawd, I miss that time.

I've heard claims of people seeing them, but never actually seen them myself. I've heard they represent different things, what the OP said or spirits of people who have passed on, poltergiests (sp?) or some thing like that.
