Annette was not a happy camper. As a matter of fact, she usually wasn't, but right now that held particularly true. 'Do this, do that,' that's what Leona kept telling her. That stupid freaking bakery was getting on her nerves and she had half a mind to burn it down if that wouldn't make a mess and get rid of her only source of income. The other option was going to school, but, pff, why that? Her beauty would be wasted there, though not like it wasn't already.
The wagon had been loaded up for her already, the two horses hitched, and the stuff she needed to barter with and sell set up in the back. Of course, she was going to the city in a lame horse and carriage. The nineteen-year-old canine wished that they had a car; it would look less stupid, urgh.
Within an hour, Annette had reached the city and had gotten everything settled, moving off to the market and making an unpleasant face at all the hard labour she had to do, holding a large sack of corn kernels between both arms.
